Dogtown And Z-Boys
Directed by former skateboarder Stacy Peralta, Dogtown and Z-Boys focused on the Zephyr skateboard team with a plethora of vintage video. With a $400,000 budget, the documentary also had a great soundtrack with songs from David Bowie, Black Sabbath, and The Jimi Hendrix Experience. The film gained high praise from The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, and it won the award for best documentary at the 2001 Independent Spirit Awards.
