AC Milan’s forward Christian Pulisic is the recipient of the U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year award for 2023. This is the fourth time Pulisic has received the same honor, tying the record held by USMNT legend Landon Donovan.

Pulisic, who scored six goals and dished three assists in seven matches with the USMNT this past year, received 53% of the votes from the voting panel. Pulisic’s teammate Yunus Musah finished second with 21.5% of the votes, while PSV Eindhoven’s striker Ricardo Pepi got 12.9% of the votes.

After his club career stalled with Chelsea at the end of the 2022-23 season, Pulisic made a summer move to Seria A, and it has been proved as a great decision. With Milan, Pulisic has rediscovered his form and has seven goals and six assists in 26 matches in all competitions. The 25-year-old player was also named the Seria A Player Of The Month for December.

Pulisic also excelled with USMNT, helping his country secure the CONCACAF Nations League title and qualify for Copa América.

“It’s an honor to win this award again for the fourth time,” Pulisic said after receiving the award. “It was an incredible season for me. I always enjoy playing with the national team and winning more trophies with the national team. Of course, coming here to AC Milan, it’s been just a really exciting year. I’ve enjoyed it so much, so I’m really grateful to win an award like this.”

AC Milan is out of the UEFA Champions League despite claiming a 2-1 win over Newcastle United on the final matchday of the group stage. United States star Christian Pulisic contributed to one of Milan’s goals, becoming the first U.S. international to score for three different clubs in the competition.

The Seria A side finished third in Group F behind Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain and received a spot in the knockout stage of the UEFA Europa League as a consolation prize. Newcastle, on the other hand, finished at the bottom of the group and won’t get to play again in European competitions this season.

Newcastle got the lead through Joelinton in the 33rd minute before Pulisic leveled the score in 59th minute. Samuel Chukwueze completed Milan’s comeback by finding the net in the 84th minute.

“It’s a massive accomplishment,” said Pulisic after the game. “We have a chance to win a great competition. Of course we wanted to continue in the Champions League, but we look forward to competing in the Europa League.”

Pulisic now has eight UCL goals, having previously scored two with Borussia Dortmund and five with Chelsea. No other American has more than four.

Christian Pulisic was substituted during second-half stoppage time of AC Milan’s 2-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night. The Milan midfielder was unable to keep playing after injuring his right leg while chasing down a loose ball.

While former Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar handed PSG an early lead, the home team provided a swift response, with Rafael Leão netting the equalizer just three minutes later. Five minutes after the half-time break, Olivier Giroud scored the winner for Milan, with the Italian team managing to hold onto their lead until the final whistle.

Although Milan started the day at the bottom of Group F, this win propelled them into third place and just one point off of second place, which would be enough to secure progression to the Champions League knockout rounds. Milan are next set to host Borussia Dortmund before playing their final group game away at Newcastle United.

AC Milan and U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Christian Pulisic is adamant that Milan still has a chance to progress from their UEFA Champions League group. The Italian club lost 3-0 to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, leaving them bottom of Group F with two points from three games.

“We have to focus on the next game,” Pulisic declared. “We’re not out of it yet, we just need to string a couple of wins together. We’ve had some tough games in some tough stadiums but that’s no excuse, we need to turn it around and we need to win.”

Stuck in the “group of death” alongside PSG, Newcastle United, and Borussia Dortmund, Milan have struggled to find their form in Europe’s elite competition. Prior to Wednesday night’s defeat to PSG, Milan had goalless draws with both Newcastle and Dortmund. Just two points behind both of those teams and four points behind group leaders PSG, the Serie A club still has a chance of qualifying for the knockout phases so long as they string together some wins in the remaining matches.

U.S. star forward Christian Pulisic will be on the move at the end of the 2022-23 season. According to reports from English media, Chelsea is looking to sell Pulisic as part of the summer rebuild, with Seria A teams Napoli and Juventus emerging as potential suitors for the 24-year-old American.

While Chelsea is still high on Pulisic, the Premier League side is willing to let him go due to his contract status. The player will have just one year left on his deal after the season ends, and the club doesn’t want to risk losing him for nothing in 2024.

Pulisic himself is believed to be open to the move as he looks to get more playing time. He made just 21 appearances in Premier League this season, including eight starts, and only managed to score once.

Both Napoli and Juventus believe they can help Pulisic get his career back on track and have him play a key role. Napoli is looking for a backup plan if star striker Victor Osimhen ends up leaving the club, while Juventus wants to build a squad that could help them reclaim the status as one of the top clubs in Italy.

Christian Pulisic joined Chelsea in 2019 from Borussia Dortmund in a transfer worth £58 million. While he had some spectacular performances in London, this was overshadowed by frequent injuries that limited him to just 142 games in four seasons.

ESPN reported on Wednesday that Manchester United has inquired about the availability of Chelsea and US Men’s National Team player Christian Pulisic. The Red Devils are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing the player on a loan deal.

Although he still has two years left on his contract, Pulisic has reportedly grown frustrated at his lack of game time for the Blues. The midfielder played for just 30 minutes across Chelsea’s first two Premier League games, coming on as a substitute in both matches. Pulisic struggled with injury last season, starting in only 13 Premier League games.

Man Utd’s interest in Pulisic comes as the club scrambles to sign new talents before the close of the transfer window in a couple of weeks. Furthermore, the Red Devils appear desperate to turn their fortunes around after losing their first two Premier League games; the team’s worst-ever start to a Premier League season.

Juventus and Atletico Madrid have also expressed an interest in the player, with Newcastle United also believed to be monitoring the situation.

Chelsea’s willingness to let go of Pulisic may rest on the club’s ability to land a replacement. The Blues currently have their sights set on Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Everton midfielder Anthony Gordon.

USMNT star Christian Pulisic could be on the move in the near future, according to a recent report from El Nacional. According to the Spanish media outlet, both Liverpool and Barcelona are monitoring Pulisic, while his club Chelsea wouldn’t mind letting the American go if the right offer comes in.

Chelsea is believed to be keen on sending Pulisic to Spain in order to avoid reinforcing their rival, but Barca might not have the necessary funds to pull off a deal at the moment. The Catalan club is in a rough financial situation and is more open to free transfer and loan deals and Chelsea wants at least $50 million for the player.

Liverpool, on the other hand, is interested in Pulisic due to his connection with manager Jurgen Kopp. The duo successfully worked together at Borussia Dortmund, and Klopp would like to reunite with the player he still holds in high regard. He reportedly tried to recruit the 23-year-old in 2019, but Chelsea beat him to the punch.

Despite being poised to be one of Chelsea’s big stars when he joined the club, Christian Pulisic never really found his footing at Stamford Bridge. Injuries played a big part in this, with Pulisic being limited to 83 games in two and a half seasons with the Premier League powerhouse.

Availability has been an issue for Pulisic in 2021-22 as well, but there are signs he is returning to form in the past couple of weeks. He notably came in as a sub against Leicester City over the weekend and scored a goal in a 3:0 win while being handed a start in a 4:0 win against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League clash on Tuesday.

The United States men’s national soccer team is set to be without several key players during its upcoming World Cup qualifying match against Panama on October 10.

With the United Kingdom including Panama on its list of red countries for travel during the COVID-19 pandemic, Premier League midfielder Christian Pulisic is set to miss out on the clash due to quarantine requirements. Any travelers arriving in the UK from a nation on the red list are required to self-isolate for 10 days upon return.

The main reason for Pulisic’s avoidance of quarantine requirements would be the busy schedule that his club, Chelsea, is faced with following the international break. The Blues are set to face Brentford on October 16, after which they play Malmo FF in a Champions League clash on October 20.

Pulisic is one of five UK-based players included in the USMNT’s roster during the team’s previous set of World Cup Qualifiers, namely a goalless draw with El Salvador, a 1-1 draw with Canada, and a 4-1 victory over Honduras.

There are several Premier League clubs that have decided to block their players from representing their national teams during the international break, including Liverpool, which has several Brazilian stars, and Manchester City, which is represented by Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson and striker Gabriel Jesus.

Christian Pulisic helped USMNT to remain unbeaten at the start of World Cup qualifiers, but that came at a price. According to Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, the 22-year-old forward returned to the club “on crutches” and will be forced to miss several upcoming games as a result.

Pulisic got hurt during USMNT’s 4-1 dismantling of Honduras on Wednesday. He exited the game early in the second half and was visibly limping while heading to the sidelines.

Tuchel revealed during Friday’s press conference that Pulisic is dealing with an ankle injury and will be out for “about 10 days.”

The timeline means Pulisic should miss the Premier League clash against Aston Villa on Saturday, the UEFA Champions League group match against Zenit, and the London derby against Tottenham next week. His first game back could be the EFL Cup game against Aston Villa on September 22nd.

The injuries have been a recurring story for Christian Pulisic since he arrived at Chelsea in 2019. Various issues with hamstring and ankles kept Pulisic from making an impact in England and showcasing the talent that prompted the club to pay an $80 million transfer fee for his services.

Pulisic played a total of 79 games for Chelsea and scored 18 goals with 14 assists. He has one goal in two matches in 2021-22 so far.

United States star winger Christian Pulisic finally managed to end his goalscoring drought for Chelsea, netting in a 2-5 loss to West Bromwich Albion on Sunday. This was his first goal under new manager Thomas Tuchel and also first since early December.

Pulisic actually opened the scoring, getting Chelsea in the lead in the 27th minute. After a free kick from left-back Marcos Alonso hit the post, the 22-year-old American collected the deflection and delivered a calm finish.

Unfortunately for Chelsea, things went downhill from there. Less than a minute later, Brazilian center-back Thiago Silva made a reckless tackle and earned himself a red card, leaving his team with 10 players. WBA used the opportunity and immediately struck back, scoring two before halftime.

Pulisic couldn’t help Chelsea found its way back, as he had to leave early as well because of an injury. He was substituted before the start of the second half after complaining about his hamstring.

The 2-1 lead obviously wasn’t enough for WBA, as they continued to attack and scored three more. Chelsea, on the other hand, didn’t do much and managed to add just one more thanks to Mason Mount.

Speaking with reporters after the game, Tuchel detailed the decision to substitute Pulisic.

“Christian did a sprint when he came back out for the second half and said that he felt his hamstring would not survive the game if he continued,” said Tuchel. “So we had to make the decision to substitute him straight away.”

While Premier League giants didn’t detail the full extent of Pulisic’s injury, he will reportedly be out for at least a week and is set to miss the upcoming Champions League clash against FC Porto.

Christian Pulisic has been dealing with injuries often since arriving at Chelsea in 2019, and it has been the same story this season. He was out for several weeks on multiple occasions, which caused him to have a hard time breaking into the starting lineup or playing extended minutes.

Pulisic played 29 games in 2020-21 in all competitions but clocked only 1.567 minutes on the field. He scored three goals and has two assists.
