USMNT star Christian Pulisic could be on the move in the near future, according to a recent report from El Nacional. According to the Spanish media outlet, both Liverpool and Barcelona are monitoring Pulisic, while his club Chelsea wouldn’t mind letting the American go if the right offer comes in.

Chelsea is believed to be keen on sending Pulisic to Spain in order to avoid reinforcing their rival, but Barca might not have the necessary funds to pull off a deal at the moment. The Catalan club is in a rough financial situation and is more open to free transfer and loan deals and Chelsea wants at least $50 million for the player.

Liverpool, on the other hand, is interested in Pulisic due to his connection with manager Jurgen Kopp. The duo successfully worked together at Borussia Dortmund, and Klopp would like to reunite with the player he still holds in high regard. He reportedly tried to recruit the 23-year-old in 2019, but Chelsea beat him to the punch.

Despite being poised to be one of Chelsea’s big stars when he joined the club, Christian Pulisic never really found his footing at Stamford Bridge. Injuries played a big part in this, with Pulisic being limited to 83 games in two and a half seasons with the Premier League powerhouse.

Availability has been an issue for Pulisic in 2021-22 as well, but there are signs he is returning to form in the past couple of weeks. He notably came in as a sub against Leicester City over the weekend and scored a goal in a 3:0 win while being handed a start in a 4:0 win against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League clash on Tuesday.
