AC Milan’s forward Christian Pulisic is the recipient of the U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year award for 2023. This is the fourth time Pulisic has received the same honor, tying the record held by USMNT legend Landon Donovan.

Pulisic, who scored six goals and dished three assists in seven matches with the USMNT this past year, received 53% of the votes from the voting panel. Pulisic’s teammate Yunus Musah finished second with 21.5% of the votes, while PSV Eindhoven’s striker Ricardo Pepi got 12.9% of the votes.

After his club career stalled with Chelsea at the end of the 2022-23 season, Pulisic made a summer move to Seria A, and it has been proved as a great decision. With Milan, Pulisic has rediscovered his form and has seven goals and six assists in 26 matches in all competitions. The 25-year-old player was also named the Seria A Player Of The Month for December.

Pulisic also excelled with USMNT, helping his country secure the CONCACAF Nations League title and qualify for Copa América.

“It’s an honor to win this award again for the fourth time,” Pulisic said after receiving the award. “It was an incredible season for me. I always enjoy playing with the national team and winning more trophies with the national team. Of course, coming here to AC Milan, it’s been just a really exciting year. I’ve enjoyed it so much, so I’m really grateful to win an award like this.”
