Speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Liverpool’s head coach, Jurgen Klopp, said Jota will likely miss at least a few months recovering.

“With Diogo, it will obviously take rather months,” Klopp said. “I couldn’t give you a timeframe even if I wanted to, so that’s just how it is. When you don’t have these players available, it makes no sense as well to say, ‘OK, they will not be in before…’”

Jota got hurt in the first half of the Brentford game after a duel with Brentford’s defensive midfielder Christian Norgaard.
