The Sacramento Kings couldn’t finish the job against the reigning NBA champions Golden State Warriors, after all. The Warriors got a comfortable 120-100 win in Game 7 on Sunday night, closing out the first-round series and eliminating the Kings from the playoffs.

The Warriors were led to the win by their superstar Stephen Curry, who delivered a performance for the history books. Curry scored 50 points, setting the record for most points by a player in Game 7 in NBA playoffs history. The previous record was held by Curry’s former teammate Kevin Durant, who had 48 while playing for the Brooklyn Nets against the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2021 Eastern Conference semifinals.

Curry finished the night shooting 20-of-38 while making seven three out of 18 attempts. He also added eight rebounds and seven assists.

“There is a reason he is a two-time MVP, a Finals MVP because he pushes us over the top in moments like this,” said Curry’s teammate Klay Thompson. “When he’s in the zone like that, you try to just get him in his spots, get him the ball and get out of the way. This is a Game 7 I will forever remember as the Steph Curry game.”

The Warriors are now set to face the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round. The Lakers previously ousted the Memphis Grizzlies in six games.

The Kings, on the other hand, can feel good about their season despite the early elimination. They have played in the postseason for the first time in 17 years and have shown that they can compete against the best teams in the league by pushing the reigning NBA champs to seven games.

The Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry could potentially return to the team from injury during Sunday afternoon’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Crypto.com Arena.

Curry has been sidelined since February 4, when he injured his left leg against the Dallas Mavericks. Despite being injured for almost a month, the Warriors’ star player has been involved in minor team drills and workouts in an effort to return to form as he advances in the recovery process. He got involved in scrimmages with his teammates over the past two days, including one on Thursday morning.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr reported that Curry appears to be in good form, participating in the scrimmages and emerging from them without any setbacks.

Although Curry will not participate in the Warriors’ game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, the decision to omit him from the team is more of a preventative measure, with the Warriors set to reevaluate him before the team departs on Saturday afternoon for its three-game road trip.

Thursday will mark the 10th straight game that Curry will miss as a result of his lingering injury. The team has gone 5-4 during Curry’s absence.

The Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has revealed that he is still unsure as to when he will return from injury. The star point guard has been rehabilitating from a left lower leg injury that he incurred on February 4.

Curry was injured during the Warriors’ 113-119 win over the Dallas Mavericks when his knee collided with that of Dallas Mavericks point guard McKinley Wright IV. As a result, he partially tore his superior tibiofibular ligaments and interosseous membrane and suffered a contusion to his lower left leg.

Unlike his left shoulder injury in December, this time, Curry will have to make a complete recovery before taking to the court again in order to avoid aggravating his injury.

“Ligaments can heal in all different types of timelines,” Curry stated. “So there’s a window for each checkpoint. After the All-Star break, I will hopefully get back on the court, and then depending on how things go from there, we can key in on a specific date to get back.”

While Curry is able to do almost any non-basketball-related activity such as cycling and lifting weights, he insists that he is not yet at a stage in which he can test his body on the court.

The Golden States Warriors are facing another injury headache. Their superstar point guard Stephen Curry has been diagnosed with a left leg injury and will reportedly miss several weeks.

Curry got hurt during a 119-113 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday. He collided with the Mavs’ McKinley Wright late in the third quarter and swiftly left for the locker room. The 34-year-old player had 21 points up to that moment.

According to reports, Curry won’t be back until after the All-Star break. Golden State’s head coach Steve Kerr confirmed that his star player would miss some time on Sunday but didn’t give any timetable on his possible return.

“I think the main thing is he’s going to be out for a little bit,” said Golden State’s head coach Steve Kerr. “We’re going to reevaluate in a few days. And the good news is, he’s going to be back. We don’t exactly know when, but it’s not an injury that’s going to keep him out for the season. He’s going to come back this season, and hopefully sooner rather than later.”

Stephen Curry already missed time this season. He sat out 11 games in December and January while nursing a shoulder injury. When healthy, Curry has been his phenomenal self, averaging 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game while shooting 42.7 from behind the arc.

The Warriors are currently sitting eighth in the West with a 27-26 record. They are 2.5 games behind the Los Angeles Clippers at No. 4 but also just 2.5 games ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers, who sit at No. 13.

Stephen Curry scored 24 points for the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night in his first game since December 14 after incurring a subluxation of his left shoulder. Despite his positive performance, the Warriors fell 125-113 to the Phoenix Suns.

The defeat was a shock considering that this was the first time since December 3 that the Warriors had their best lineup. In contrast, the Suns continue to struggle with injury issues of their own.

“I think with Steph and [Andrew Wiggins] back, we probably relaxed a bit more than we should have,” Golden State guard Klay Thompson commented, explaining that the Warriors perhaps did not show the intensity that was necessary to come away with the win.

Following his 11-game absence, Curry wore a shooting sleeve on his left arm in order to help himself cope throughout the game. He stated after the game that he felt as if he coped well from start to finish and that he did not think about his shoulder throughout the game.

Curry admitted that he is not yet back to top form and that he feels pressure to return to form within a short time span.

The Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is expected to make his return from injury during the team’s game against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night. This comes after the point guard missed 11 consecutive games due to a left shoulder subluxation.

When questioned about his timetable, Curry explained that he would make his return to the court once he feels ready to do so. “With this one, it’s kind of about getting through as much of the testing phase as possible, so if I can get a few more reps in, then I’ll be ready,” Curry explained.

On Friday, Curry participated in contact and 5-on-5 work for the first time since picking up his injury. He became a full practice participant for the first time on Monday. Curry has continued to wear a sleeve on his left arm which he stated is for function and athletics.

Curry’s return comes just in time for the Warriors’ upcoming five-game road trip, during which they’ll need to be on top form in order to hold onto their Western Conference playoff spot. Without Curry at their disposal, the Warriors have managed just a 6-5 record.

The Golden State Warriors were not about to let the Dallas Mavericks build a comeback on the back of their Game 4 win. Instead, the Warriors treated it as an outlier in the series they dominated and took care of business with a 120-110 win in Game 5 on Thursday night to advance to the 2022 NBA Finals.

Golden State returned to the top of the Western Conference thanks to a great team play, but it is safe to say their impressive run had superstar Stephen Curry’s fingerprints all over it. Curry delivered a strong all-around series, averaging 23.8 points, 7.4 assists, and 6.6 rebounds per game. As a result, he was named Western Conference Finals MVP and awarded the inaugural Magic Johnson Trophy.

“The new trophy is pretty cool,” said Curry after being presented with the honor. “Especially with who it’s named after, the standard that Magic set in terms of being a champion and playing the point guard position, whatever other position he played. Just the excellence that he demonstrated throughout his entire career.”

The Warriors have made five consecutive NBA Finals between 2015 and 2019, winning three NBA Championships during that run. They then followed that with two seasons in which they didn’t make the playoffs at all. Golden State now hopes that the most recent NBA Finals trip is the mark of a new run. They will face either Miami Heat or Boston Celtics there.

The Golden State Warriors’ superstar Stephen Curry suffered a left foot sprain in an 88-110 loss to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night that will reportedly keep him off the floor for the remainder of the season. However, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Warriors are optimistic that Curry will recover in time for the first round of the playoffs.

Curry got hurt in the second quarter while trying to make a play for a loose ball. Before he could get to it, Celtics guard Marcus Smart dived to grab the ball and landed on Curry’s ankle. The two-time MVP was slow to get up and was visibly limping before heading to the locker room.

After the game, Curry underwent an MRI test that showed there is no structural damage on his foot. However, he will know the full extent of the injury after meeting with a foot specialist soon.

Stephen Curry’s injury comes at a bad time for the Warriors, who have won just four of their last 10 games and started slipping in the standings. Golden State is currently third in Western Conference with a 47-23 record. They are nine games behind the leading Suns and 3.5 games in front of the Utah Jazz and the Dallas Mavericks on no. 4 and no. 5.

Curry played 64 games in 2021-22, averaging 25.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per contest.

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has downplayed the hand injury that he incurred during his team’s 138-96 win over the Chicago Bulls on Friday. He winced in pain after injuring his hand during a drive during the second quarter of the game.

“Anything that involves the hands, especially the right one, you’re a little concerned. But the feeling came back, the strength came back. It hurts, but I’ll be all right,” Curry assured. Before leaving the court, Curry made a large impact on the game, scoring 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting.

The main reason for concern following his injury is the fact that it initially appeared to be a repeat of the moment that he broke his left hand after falling hard at the start of the 2019-20 season.

While convinced that the injury setback is minor in nature, Curry will be expected to miss the Warriors’ trip to Minnesota to face the Timberwolves.

Despite Curry’s absence, the Warriors expect a morale boost as Draymond Green is expected to return to the team on Tuesday to face the Detroit Pistons. This is after the forward was experiencing some left calf tightness.

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is sizzling hot to start the 2021-22 NBA season. This was more than obvious on Monday when Curry torched the Atlanta Hawks with 50 points to give his team a 127-113 win.

Curry had a stellar shooting night from the long-range that saw him make nine three-pointers from 19 attempts. He was also perfect from the free-throw line, sinking all 13 tries. And the 33-year-old managed to do all of this despite injuring his left shoulder early in the first quarter.

Curry finished the Hawks game by adding 10 assists, which made him just the third player in the franchise history to do so in a 50 points game. Only Hall of Famers Wilt Chamberlain and Rick Barry managed to do it before him.

Speaking with reporters after the game, the Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was in awe of Curry’s outing.

“That was just a stunning performance by Steph,” Kerr said via ESPN. “He was amazing. I want to say I’ve never seen anything like it, but I’ve been watching it for seven years, so I have seen something like it and still it’s just incredible to watch.”

Stephen Curry has been an early MVP candidate this season and is currently averaging 27.6 points, 6.6 assists, and career-high 6.6 rebounds per game. His performances helped the Warriors to get on top of the Western Conference, and they currently hold a league-best 9-1 record.
