The Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is expected to make his return from injury during the team’s game against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night. This comes after the point guard missed 11 consecutive games due to a left shoulder subluxation.
When questioned about his timetable, Curry explained that he would make his return to the court once he feels ready to do so. “With this one, it’s kind of about getting through as much of the testing phase as possible, so if I can get a few more reps in, then I’ll be ready,” Curry explained.
On Friday, Curry participated in contact and 5-on-5 work for the first time since picking up his injury. He became a full practice participant for the first time on Monday. Curry has continued to wear a sleeve on his left arm which he stated is for function and athletics.
Curry’s return comes just in time for the Warriors’ upcoming five-game road trip, during which they’ll need to be on top form in order to hold onto their Western Conference playoff spot. Without Curry at their disposal, the Warriors have managed just a 6-5 record.
