Stefanos Tsitsipas has secured his qualification for the upcoming ATP Finals by defeating Alexander Zverev 7-6 (2), 6-4 in the third round of the Paris Masters on Thursday. This is the Greek player’s first victory over a top-ten ATP player this year.

The negative crowd reaction came after Tsitsipas took a toilet break, creating an eight-minute break between the end of the third set and the start of the fourth. Following the break, the momentum swung drastically in Tsitsipas’ favor.

The world’s number one ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic once again showed his excellence in tough moments. Despite falling down into a 0-2 hole against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the 2021 French Open finals, Djokovic rallied back to defeat the Greek and to claim his second Roland Garros title.

The 6-7 (6), 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 win made Djokovic the first male tennis player in the Open Era to win all four Grand Slams at least twice. He also now has 19 career Grand Slams, putting him just one behind Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, who each have 20.
