Sergio Ramos shouldn’t be concerned for his future after failing to get a new contract from La Liga giants Real Madrid. According to multiple reports, Ramos has already been approached by several high-profile European clubs, including Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain.

Ramos will be a free agent this summer, and any club that signs him won’t have to pay a fee. This, alongside his stature in the game as arguably one of the best defenders of all-time, caused almost all top teams to at least inquire about his interest.

Still, it is believed that Ramos will take his time to look into his options before making a final decision. Reportedly, the wishes of his family are going to play an important role in picking his next destination.

So far, Man City is believed to be a favorite as they constructed a tempting offer for the 35-year-old star. The Premier League powerhouse is willing to offer Ramos a two-year deal plus an option for another year or a move to MLS, where he would play for their affiliate club New York City FC.

After he captained Real Madrid to La Liga title this season, Sergio Ramos now wants to work out a new deal with the club. According to Spanish Diario Sport, Ramos recently presented his contract demands that include a $20 million yearly salary.

Ramos has just one year left on his deal, and the two sides have been negotiating an extension for some time now. However, an issue about the contract length stalled the talks as the 34-year-old Spaniard wants two more years while the club offers him one year.

Reportedly, Ramos remained set on getting an extension through 2023 but now wants a significant increase to his current $13.5 million salary after a stellar campaign this season. The Spanish center back not only anchored Real’s defense but also contributed on the other end as well, scoring 13 goals in 2019/20.

Real Madrid is also keen on making a deal, with the club’s president Florentino Perez recently reassuring fans that Sergio Ramos will spend the remainder of his career at Santiago Bernabeu.

“Ramos is going to be here his whole life, so the fans can be calm,” said Perez last week. “He has been impressive as a leader, the team are a close group, and much of the reason for that lies with him.”

Real Madrid’s captain Sergio Ramos recently talked with Express about Pogba’s arrival to his club and said he would welcome such turn of events.

“I think Real Madrid always has the door open for good players such as him,” – Ramos told the magazine.
