Veteran wideout Odell Beckham Jr. has agreed to a deal with the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens confirmed the move on Sunday, announcing that they agreed in principle on a one-year contract with Beckham.

According to multiple reports, Beckham will get a guaranteed $15 million annual salary from the Ravens as part of the agreement. In addition, the Pro Bowler will be able to earn an extra $3 million via bonuses and incentives.

Beckham was considered the top free agent left on the market this offseason. Several teams were reportedly interested in signing him but were turned off by his salary demands. The 30-year-old player reportedly asked between $20 million and $15 million annually on a multi-year deal, something teams were unwilling to give him considering his injury history.

The reason why the Ravens met Beckham’s asking price, albeit on a one-year commitment, was the fact that they had the lowest-producing wideout group in the league in three of the four past seasons. With Beckham in the building, Baltimore now has a proven No. 1 option on the position and a player that can elevate the entire team.

Odell Beckham missed the entire 2022 recovering from an ACL injury he suffered in Super Bowl LVI. He has 531 career catches for 7,367 and 56 touchdowns. Beckham’s NFL resume includes three Pro Bowl nods and two Second-Team All-Pro selections.

It feels like Odell Beckham Jr. was involved in some kind of trade rumors ever since he joined Cleveland Browns last offseason. And while we can read a new report about Beckham’s potential exit almost every week, Browns, to their credit, remain fairly consistent in denying them.

New Browns’ general manager Andrew Berry addressed the Beckham trade rumors most recently during his Wednesday appearance on Good Morning Football, saying that the team sees the veteran wideout as a “long-term member of the organization.”

“With all due respect to the question, I think this is actually a topic, at least from our perspective, there really hasn’t been a ton of ambiguity,” said Berry on Wednesday. “We’ve been clear from the beginning that we view Odell as a fantastic player. We’re a better team with him on the field. We see him as a long-term member of the organization.”

Browns sent a first-round pick (No.17) last year to New York Giants for Odell Beckham, hoping he will make a dynamic WR duo with Pro Bowler and former UCLA teammate Jarvis Landry. Beckham ended up having a solid season but was far from spectacular, catching 74 passes for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns.

Shortly after the season ended, reports surfaced that Beckham was reportedly unhappy with his role in the offense and wanted out. The 27-year-old was linked with several NFL teams since then, and there were talks that Cleveland even discussed trade packages with Minnesota Vikings.

Despite all of this, however, Beckham remained a Brown.  And, if we are to trust Berry, this will also be the case for a foreseeable future.

Cleveland Browns are having a disappointing 2019 considering how high their expectations were before the start of the season. Browns are currently 6-7 and would need a miracle to get to the playoffs. To make things even worse, rumors say that their star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr wants out.

Beckham was cagey about his future in Cleveland when asked about it in early December, and several reports since then claimed that the 27-year-old wideout is actively attempting to leave the Browns. However, his teammate and friend Jarvis Landry say this is not true.

Landry, who was also Beckham’s teammate at LSU during their college days, said on Thursday that OBJ “is not trying to leave” the Browns.

“It’s not even about trying to go somewhere else, for him,” – said Landry. “He’s been a leader. He’s a guy that comes to work every day. He’s a guy that’s played through injuries. All of the things you want out of a player.”

“Inside this organization he has a voice, he has a responsibility to himself to all of us to go out there and compete each and every Sunday. And he does that. So he doesn’t want to leave and he’s not trying to leave.” – he added.

Odell Beckham joined Cleveland Browns from New York Giants in a blockbuster trade in March. He was expected to be a big centerpiece in Browns’ playoff run, but things didn’t work out that way. Cleveland is playing on a disappointing level considering their talent, and Beckham has one of the worst years in his career.

In 13 games in 2019, Beckham has 59 receptions for 844 yards and only two touchdowns. He also failed to get to 100 receiving yards in the last seven games, the longest stretch in his career.

It seems Odell Beckham Jr.’s hip injury is worse than it was assumed at first. Speaking with reporters on Thursday, Cleveland Browns’ wideout admitted that he isn’t at 100 percent and that the injury still bothers him.

Beckham was limited throughout the training camp and didn’t participate in any Browns’ preseason games due to these struggles. It is unclear when and how the injury happened, but the 26-year-old Pro Bowler said that he knew something was off in early August.

“This is something I’ve never had to deal with,” – said Beckham about the injury. “It’s like an extremely fast car with like a little alignment or something off. And it’s right in the center of what you need.”

Still, the injury won’t stop Beckham from playing in Cleveland’s season opener on Sunday against Tennessee Titans. This will also be the first time he wears Browns’ jersey in an NFL game.

“It’s getting better,” – he added. “It’s as good as it’s going to be until the season starts. It’s something that hopefully that keeps progressing and gets better and not worse.”

Cleveland Browns traded for Odell Beckham in March, sending Jabrill Peppers and their 2019 first round pick (17th overall) to New York Giants in exchange. They were hoping that Beckham could be the final piece of the puzzle that will bring them back to playoffs for the first time since 2002. If his injury struggles continue, however, they might have a hard time doing that in the crowded AFC North.

New York Giants fans were not happy to see wideout Odell Beckham Jr. being traded to Cleveland Browns, but it seems like the 26-year-old Pro Bowler welcomed the move.

Beckham recently discussed his move with Complex and told the magazine that he felt he couldn’t reach his “full potential” with the Giants.

“I just felt with the Giants I was just stuck at a place that wasn’t working for me anymore,” – said Beckham. “I felt like I wasn’t going to be able to reach my full potential there. Mentally, physically, spiritually, everything I felt capable of doing, I just couldn’t see it happening there. So I think allowing me to be in an environment where I can be myself and give it a different approach, I feel like my football will benefit. I’m just excited about being able to play football again and not have to deal with all the other stuff and politics that came with my previous role.”

Odell Beckham established himself as one of the best WRs in football during his time in the NFL, but his talent was overshadowed by troubling behavior. Giants were initially ready to look past this, giving him a five-year, $95 million contract extension in 2018, but continued to listen to offers for him.

Several teams were interested in his services, but Browns had the best offer and ended up winning Beckham sweepstake with a package revolving around No.17 pick in 2019 NFL Draft and safety Jabrill Peppers.

In his five years in New York, Beckham managed to rack up 390 receptions for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns. His career highlights include NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award, three Pro Bowl selections, and two Second-team All-Pro honors.

New England Patriots are a golden standard in the NFL in terms of winning and Cleveland Browns’ new acquisition Odell Beckham Jr. knows that. This is why he made it his goal to bring the Browns multiple championships and make them the new Patriots.

“I plan on being there for the next five years and trying to bring as many championships there as possible, turning [the Browns] into the new Patriots.” – Beckham recently told the GQ magazine.

Beckham also shared his thoughts on Cleveland’s quarterback Baker Mayfield, saying that he has the potential to be the best QB in the league.

“I would say he’s next, but I feel like he’s now” – he added. “He’s Brett Favre—he’s going to be a Hall of Famer.”

Odell Beckham Jr. landed in Cleveland from New York Giants in a blockbuster trade that saw Jabrill Peppers, first round pick (17th overall) and third-round pick (95th overall) heading in the opposite way. Beckham ended the 2018 season with 77 receptions for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games he played.

While Cleveland Browns are far from being New Patriots, there is definitely a reason for their fans to be optimistic about the future. Besides Beckham and Mayfield, Browns have several other talented and young players, including defensive end Myles Garrett, wide receiver Jarvis Landry and cornerback Denzel Ward. This group is expected to lead Cleveland to the franchise’s first playoff appearance since 2002 and end the NFL longest playoff drought.

The Green Bay Packers head coach Joe Philbin declined to confirm where Aaron Rodgers would play against the New York Jets on Sunday after suffering a groin injury in Sunday’s loss to the Bears.

I’m hopeful he’s going to practice, and I’m hopeful he’s going to play,” – Philbin said as to whether the quarterback would practice on Wednesday and play on Sunday.

With no shortage of quarterback alternatives, the Packers could sideline Rodgers for the remaining two weeks of the season and give him ample time to recover from the injury.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Falcons confirmed running back Devonta Freeman would not return to the NFL this season on the same day.

“He won’t make it back,” head coach David Quinn said.

The running back has been out for the better part of this season, only playing in two games and logging 68 yards for 14 carries and 23 yards receiving for five catches. The Falcons haven’t performed well since his injury, currently ranked 30th in the league for rushing yards.

Other players to stay in the IR include Dolphins running back Frank Gore who has a foot injury and Browns cornerback Denzel Ward who suffered a concussion. Odell Beckham Jr. also missed Wednesday’s practice session but Giants coach Pat Shurmur couldn’t confirm whether the receiver will be placed on injured reserve.

Minutes after Odell Beckham Jr. signed a record-breaking 5-year contract extension worth $95 million, football fans took to social media to congratulate the New York Giants wide receiver.

From NFL colleagues to reporters, football fans to celebrities; social media was lit with tweets and posts related to Beckham. LA Chargers’ quarterback, Cardale Jones, tweeted a hilarious message saying,

“Hey man, you might not remember me but I’m your cousin on your great uncle Ray Ray side. Saw you at the family reunion in 03. Can I have some money? Congrats on the new deal.”

Fellow wide receiver Sterling Shepard tweeted, “Congrats to my brudda couldn’t be more proud been solid since day one helped me a lot on my journey…you deserve It.”

Shepard also released a celebratory video of Beckham dancing shirtless in the locker room as other players grinned and danced.

According to the new contract, Beckham has $65 million in guaranteed money. This eclipses Mike Evans’ of Tampa Bay Buccaneers whose contract guarantees $55 million and Antonio Brown’s $17 per year average.

With the huge contract, comes great responsibility. Beckham is already the face of the New York Giants, which attracts great pressure as commentator Max Kellerman was quick to say,

“OBJ is the most talented WR of all time. Now he’s the highest paid ever, and thus under the most pressure.”

It feels like Odell Beckham Jr. was involved in some kind of trade rumors ever since he joined Cleveland Browns last offseason. And while we can read a new report about Beckham’s potential exit almost every week, Browns, to their credit, remain fairly consistent in denying them.

Cleveland Browns are having a disappointing 2019 considering how high their expectations were before the start of the season. Browns are currently 6-7 and would need a miracle to get to the playoffs. To make things even worse, rumors say that their star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr wants out.

New England Patriots are a golden standard in the NFL in terms of winning and Cleveland Browns’ new acquisition Odell Beckham Jr. knows that. This is why he made it his goal to bring the Browns multiple championships and make them the new Patriots.
