Cleveland Browns are having a disappointing 2019 considering how high their expectations were before the start of the season. Browns are currently 6-7 and would need a miracle to get to the playoffs. To make things even worse, rumors say that their star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr wants out.

Beckham was cagey about his future in Cleveland when asked about it in early December, and several reports since then claimed that the 27-year-old wideout is actively attempting to leave the Browns. However, his teammate and friend Jarvis Landry say this is not true.

Landry, who was also Beckham’s teammate at LSU during their college days, said on Thursday that OBJ “is not trying to leave” the Browns.

“It’s not even about trying to go somewhere else, for him,” – said Landry. “He’s been a leader. He’s a guy that comes to work every day. He’s a guy that’s played through injuries. All of the things you want out of a player.”

“Inside this organization he has a voice, he has a responsibility to himself to all of us to go out there and compete each and every Sunday. And he does that. So he doesn’t want to leave and he’s not trying to leave.” – he added.

Odell Beckham joined Cleveland Browns from New York Giants in a blockbuster trade in March. He was expected to be a big centerpiece in Browns’ playoff run, but things didn’t work out that way. Cleveland is playing on a disappointing level considering their talent, and Beckham has one of the worst years in his career.

In 13 games in 2019, Beckham has 59 receptions for 844 yards and only two touchdowns. He also failed to get to 100 receiving yards in the last seven games, the longest stretch in his career.
