Golden State Warriors forward Gary Payton II is expected to be sidelined for multiple weeks after incurring a hamstring strain, sources familiar with the matter stated. While no official timeline has been given, sources claim that he will be sidelined for a significant period.

Payton was injured during the Warriors’ 121-115 win over the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night when he fought over a screen set with the Magic’s Paolo Banchero, taking a tumble and clutching at his left thigh once he returned to his feet. The Warriors then called a timeout, with Payton heading to the locker room in frustration.

“He’s such a big part of our team,” teammate Chris Paul said. “People may not realize it, but his energy is consistent every day — every practice, every game. Him coming back has been huge for us. So I hope whatever it is isn’t going to take a long time. I think for him, it’s going to be about getting as healthy as possible.” Ranked 11th in the Western Conference standings, the Warriors are also without Draymond Green, who is on an indefinite suspension. They next face reigning NBA champions Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.

The Golden State Warriors are set to be without two of their key reserve players, with both Chris Paul and Gary Payton II being sidelined after they both sustained injuries.

Paul was injured during the Warriors narrow 124-123 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night, leaving the court with 19 seconds remaining in the first quarter. With the exact moment of his injury unclear, Paul has been diagnosed with a lower left leg nerve contusion and is expected to miss Thursday’s game against the LA Clippers. He is expected to be day-to-day going forward.

Also injured during the Kings’ game, Payton went down in the third quarter with a non-contact injury. It was later determined that he tore his right calf. He is expected to miss the next several weeks, with no exact return date given as of yet. Losing these two players is a major setback for the Warriors given that the team is looking to recover from their difficult start to the season. At 8-10, the Warriors are 11th in the Western Conference standings.

The Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is expected to make his return from injury during the team’s game against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night. This comes after the point guard missed 11 consecutive games due to a left shoulder subluxation.

When questioned about his timetable, Curry explained that he would make his return to the court once he feels ready to do so. “With this one, it’s kind of about getting through as much of the testing phase as possible, so if I can get a few more reps in, then I’ll be ready,” Curry explained.

On Friday, Curry participated in contact and 5-on-5 work for the first time since picking up his injury. He became a full practice participant for the first time on Monday. Curry has continued to wear a sleeve on his left arm which he stated is for function and athletics.

Curry’s return comes just in time for the Warriors’ upcoming five-game road trip, during which they’ll need to be on top form in order to hold onto their Western Conference playoff spot. Without Curry at their disposal, the Warriors have managed just a 6-5 record.

The Golden State Warriors forward Otto Porter Jr. left the court early duing his team’s third game against the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night. He departed during the second quarter after experiencing soreness in his left foot. Despite Porter’s departure, Golden State managed to hold off the Mavericks for a decisive 109-100 victory.

Porter sustained his injury after he landed on the floor after going for a layup. During the next stoppage in play, Porter could be seen fidgeting with his left foot and struggling to continue to move as usual. He was subbed off a few moments later.

Following the Warriors’ victory, Porter underwent several X-rays of his left foot, all of which were unable to come up with conclusive results. According to the team’s medical staff, more would be known about Porter’s injury over the next 24 hours.

While still awaiting concrete news, Porter was spotted limping back to the locker room with trainers during a subsequent time out. After the aforementioned X-rays were complete, the forward was seen testing out his foot by running up and down in the hallway.

This latest injury comes after Porter experienced right foot soreness, leading him to miss out on Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals.

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has downplayed the hand injury that he incurred during his team’s 138-96 win over the Chicago Bulls on Friday. He winced in pain after injuring his hand during a drive during the second quarter of the game.

“Anything that involves the hands, especially the right one, you’re a little concerned. But the feeling came back, the strength came back. It hurts, but I’ll be all right,” Curry assured. Before leaving the court, Curry made a large impact on the game, scoring 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting.

The main reason for concern following his injury is the fact that it initially appeared to be a repeat of the moment that he broke his left hand after falling hard at the start of the 2019-20 season.

While convinced that the injury setback is minor in nature, Curry will be expected to miss the Warriors’ trip to Minnesota to face the Timberwolves.

Despite Curry’s absence, the Warriors expect a morale boost as Draymond Green is expected to return to the team on Tuesday to face the Detroit Pistons. This is after the forward was experiencing some left calf tightness.

Things don’t look good for the Golden State Warriors ahead of Western Conference Finals Game 4 against the Houston Rockets. According to the press release made by the Warriors on Monday, their forward Andre Iguodala is doubtful for Tuesday night’s game against the Rockets with shooting guard Patrick McCaw being ruled out of the game.

Andre Iguodala suffered the injury late in Game 3 when he banged knees with James Harden. Because of the injury, the 34-year-old didn’t participate in Monday’s practice and the Warriors’ team thinks that the injury got worse since Sunday.

While Patrick McCaw’s absence from the game might not be so noticeable, in case that Iguodala can’t play in Game 4 that could really be problematic for Golden State Warriors. He has been averaging 8.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in the first three game of the Western Conference Finals but his impact is much bigger than his box score, considering all the small things he does for the Warriors.

Andre Iguodala joined the Golden State Warriors in 2013 and established himself as the key role player for the team during their two NBA Championship runs. In the summer of 2017, Iguodala was a highly sought-after player on the free agents market bud decided to stay with the Warriors agreeing on a three-year, $48 million contract.

Golden State Warriors are currently without their four All-Star players, but one could return soon. According to the team’s statement from Tuesday, guard Stephen Curry, who missed the team’s last six games, is “making good progress and, as a result, has been cleared to participate in full team practice beginning tomorrow, with the goal of returning to play later this week.”

Stephen Curry suffered a sprained ankle injury during the game against the San Antonio Spurs on March 8. Warriors are being cautious over Curry’s return since this was his fourth ankle injury this season. The 30-year-old also has a history of ankle injuries, which at one point threaten to jeopardize his basketball career. According to the sources, Curry is eyeing to return to action on Friday against the Atlanta Hawks.

During the six games span without Curry, the Warriors are 2-4. They are also 13-8 this season when he’s not on the floor compared to 40-10 when he is starting. Curry has been averaging 26.3 points, 6.2 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game in the 2017-18 season.

Besides Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors currently have Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson on the injury list. According to the reports, Durant (ribs injury) and Thompson (hand injury) won’t be returning to the starting line-up anytime soon.

Warrior’s fourth All-Star, forward Draymond Green, also suffered a pelvic contusion injury in the second quarter of Monday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Still, it looks like Green won’t miss out any time.

It’ll be fine” – he said after the game. “I think it’s just kind of something that’s kind of at the peak right now, but it’s calmed down a little bit since it happened. So, it’s not that serious.

Asked whether he thinks he will miss games because of the injury, Green responded: “I don’t think so, but I don’t know. I’ll just go day by day and see if it improves over the next couple of days. But I don’t think so.

The Golden State Warriors have announced on Tuesday that their point guard Stephen Curry will miss at least two weeks of basketball after suffering a sprained right ankle. Curry was injured in the team’s 125-115 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. The injury occurred towards the end of the fourth quarter when Curry and Pelicans’ E’Twaun Moore got tangled up.

After the game, Curry left the arena in a walking boot. The MRI on the ankle showed no structural damage, and the sprain will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

It was a dumb play because I tried to go for a steal,” – said Curry about the injury. “And then obviously it was just a bang-bang [play]. I got caught on E’Twaun’s shoe as I went by him and couldn’t catch myself. So obviously it hurt, but wanted to kind of get back here, get ice on it and get the rehab process started as soon as possible.”

The Warriors will be without Curry for at least 6 games, including the visit to his hometown of Charlotte. Curry isn’t the only Warriors player who might miss the game against the Hornets since Patrick McCaw (nose contusion) and Zaza Pachulia (left shoulder soreness) are listed as questionable.

Two times NBA MVP struggled with injuries previously, and they were considered dangerous for his career at one point. After numerous sprains, Curry had to undergo a surgery on his right ankle in 2011–12 preseason to repair torn ligaments. Although he healed in time to begin the regular season, he sprained it again on two occasions. In April 2012, he had another surgery and eventually missed the majority of the season.
