The Golden State Warriors forward Otto Porter Jr. left the court early duing his team’s third game against the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night. He departed during the second quarter after experiencing soreness in his left foot. Despite Porter’s departure, Golden State managed to hold off the Mavericks for a decisive 109-100 victory.

Porter sustained his injury after he landed on the floor after going for a layup. During the next stoppage in play, Porter could be seen fidgeting with his left foot and struggling to continue to move as usual. He was subbed off a few moments later.

Following the Warriors’ victory, Porter underwent several X-rays of his left foot, all of which were unable to come up with conclusive results. According to the team’s medical staff, more would be known about Porter’s injury over the next 24 hours.

While still awaiting concrete news, Porter was spotted limping back to the locker room with trainers during a subsequent time out. After the aforementioned X-rays were complete, the forward was seen testing out his foot by running up and down in the hallway.

This latest injury comes after Porter experienced right foot soreness, leading him to miss out on Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals.
