Before this season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hadn’t made it to the postseason in 13 years and hadn’t won a playoff game in 19 years. Last season, they had a losing record. But then quarterback Tom Brady joined the team, and they’re now in the Super Bowl.

If that doesn’t spell out to you how good he is, perhaps nothing will. Well, perhaps a Super Bowl victory might do it. Good thing he only needs one more win to do it.

Brady was throwing dimes on Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers, leading his Bucs to a 31-26 victory. With this win, Tampa Bay will be the first time ever to play the Super Bowl game on their home field, since the game is set to be played at Raymond James Stadium.

Brady wasn’t perfect against the Packers, but he did enough exceptional things to cement the victory like he’s done so many times in the past. He made some super clutch plays, including a 51-yard hail mary touchdown throw to Scotty Miller which gave his team a 21-10 lead at the half. By the end of the game, Brady had 280 yards and three touchdowns.

“Tom’s the GOAT. Last year I think we ended 7-9, and now we’re heading to the Super Bowl,” said Miller about his quarterback. “He’s at the helm. He’s our leader. He’s probably the biggest reason we are where we are.”

However, Brady still needs to lead his team past the formidable Kansas City Chiefs if he wants yet another ring.

It seems like Kansas City Chiefs will have their franchise quarterback for many years to come. Patrick Mahomes, who led the Chiefs to their first Super Bowl win on Sunday, told the media that he intends to stay in Kansas City for “a long time.”

Speaking with reporters on Monday during the annual day-after news conference, Mahomes was asked about his contract extension and expectations for the future. The 24-year-old Super Bowl MVP didn’t, however, wanted to get into that much, and instead talked about his appreciation for the organization.

“To me, that’s stuff that’s handled with other people,” said Mahomes. “Obviously I want to be in Kansas City for a long time, understand that. I also want to win a lot of football games here and for me, it’s kind of letting that stuff handle itself.”

Mahomes is still a young player, but managed to accomplish impressive things so far. Besides being the league MVP in 2019, he now also became the second-youngest starting QB to win a Super Bowl while also becoming the youngest player to win both the ring and Super Bowl MVP.

“I’m in a great organization,” he added. “I have a great team of guys and girls working for me and so for me it’s about trusting those people, finding the best way to do it in order to have the best team around me and getting that done whenever the time is right.”

Patrick Mahomes wasn’t on his best in Super Bowl LIV for the most part of the game, throwing two picks and struggling until the fourth quarter. Still, when it mattered the most, the third-year signal-caller stepped in and propelled the Chiefs to an epic comeback win. He finished the game with 286 passing yards and two TDs.

Mahomes isn’t just writing his name in the history books with his good performance, but it looks like he’s also extending his head coach Andy Ried’s career. According to Ried, he isn’t even thinking about retirement, despite working almost 30 years in NFL, and Mahomes is one of the reasons for this.

“I don’t know. I haven’t. I still enjoy doing what I’m doing,” said Reid. “I got this young quarterback over here that makes life easy every day. Every day, man, it’s a pleasure to come to work and know that you have an opportunity to coach him and his teammates.”

To date, Super Bowl LIV was one of the most exciting Super Bowls as the Kansas City Chiefs had a major comeback in the fourth quarter to defeat the San Fransico 49ers 31-20.

Not only did they take the win, but this was also Kansas City’s first win in 50 years and their third Super Bowl championship—they won in 1962 and 1969.

Led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the youngest quarterback to win Superbowl MVP and a Super Bowl title at 24-years-old, by the fourth quarter, the Chiefs navigated the 49ers defensive pressure with Mahomes’ two long touchdown passes that led to their victory.

About the win, Mahomes said, “We never lost faith,” Mahomes said. “That’s the biggest thing. Everybody on this team, no one had their head down. We believed in each other.”

The Chiefs were also the first team in NFL history to win three games after trailing by 10-or-more points in a single postseason.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid scored his first Super Bowl Ring as head coach! “This is what it’s all about,” Reid said. “What a great team, great coaches. Appreciate every bit of it.”

Super Bowl LIV is coming up on Sunday, and it will be the culmination of an NFL season that has been full of dominant teams and unexpected twists and turns.

After coming out of nowhere to win the top seed in the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers will look to win their first Super Bowl since 1994. Standing in their way will be the Kansas City Chiefs, the high-flying team that is looking to win the big game 50 years after their last triumph in the season’s final matchup.

Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium will host this year’s festivities, which look to be highly entertaining. Let’s break down the matchup and pick a winner.

Offense

The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the most dynamic passing offenses in the NFL while the San Francisco 49ers possess one of the strongest rushing offenses in the league.

Kansas City’s offensive attack centers on Patrick Mahomes, one of the league’s best QBs, and his variety of receiving options. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill and tight end Travis Kelce are elite players at their positions, giving the team an arsenal of deep threats.

The Niners are more old-school on offense, with Jimmy Garoppolo serving as the perfect game manager while a three-headed tandem of running backs, Matt Breida, Raheem Mostert, and Tevin Coleman, do the heavy lifting. The trio combined to lift the 49ers to having the second-most rushing yards per game this season.

Defense

The Niners are best known for their defense and for good reason. The key matchup in this game is probably how their elite passing defense, which held opponents to only 169 yards per game in the air this season, can match up with the Chiefs’ elite passing attack. Can Richard Sherman and company slow Mahomes down?

The Chiefs might struggle with the 49ers rushing options, as they have one of the poorest units against the rush in the league. However, their passing unit is great at forcing interceptions and could force Garropolo into costly mistakes.

Special Teams

Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is one of the best at his position in the game. He made 34 field goals this season, tops in the league with a 90% accuracy rate. 49ers kicker Robbie Gould struggled a bit more, making 23 of 31 field goals.

Neither team has an especially strong punting game, with 49ers’ punter Mitch Wishnowsky and Chiefs’ punter Dustin Colquitt ranking near the bottom of the league.

Coaching

What do you prefer: A long-time veteran coach who is respected throughout the league, but has never won a Super Bowl, or a hot-shot young coach that comes with a strong pedigree but little experience?

Chiefs coach Andy Reid has done it all in the league except a title, having 21 years’ experience as a head coach in the league along with a .621 career winning percentage.

49ers boss Kyle Shanahan took over a franchise in despair in 2017 after a successful tenure as the Atlanta Falcons’ offensive coordinator, posting a losing record in his first two seasons. However, the offensive guru took off this season and has his team in the Super Bowl.

Experience vs. fresh blood: it all comes down to personal preference.

Prediction: Chiefs 30, 49ers 24

Ultimately, we think that not even the 49ers vaunted secondary will be able to stop Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ passing attack. We like Mahomes to have a big day and for Andy Reid to finally win a long-awaited title, although the scrappy Niners won’t make it easy for them.

After an intense Sunday of Conference Championship games, the teams that will meet in Super Bowl LIV on Sunday, February 2nd in Miami have finally been decided.

The Kansas City Chiefs will represent the AFC in football’s biggest game, while the San Francisco 49ers have come out of the NFC to take their place in the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs defeated the Tennessee Titans by a 35-24 final score at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday afternoon. They came back from a 17-7 second-quarter deficit to advance to the Super Bowl, thanks largely to quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ big performance.

The star quarterback threw for 294 yards and 3 touchdowns.

In the nightcap, the 49ers took care of the Green Bay Packers, winning 37-20 to reach the big game. This game was a blowout from the beginning, with a dominant San Francisco running attack putting them ahead 27-0 by the half.

Now, the 49ers and Chiefs will begin preparations to meet up for next week’s Super Bowl, which will be held at Hard Rock Stadium at 6:30 pm Eastern time on Sunday, February 2nd.

The Niners will look to win their first Super Bowl since 1994, while the Chiefs will attempt to accomplish the feat for the first time since 1969.

After trashing Los Angeles Rams on Monday, Baltimore Ravens are considered to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender this season. The confidence is high in the Ravens’ locker room as well, with safety Earl Thomas having no doubt his team will go all the way.

Thomas had a chat with reporters ahead of Ravens’ matchup with San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, when he was asked whether this game perhaps offers a preview of Super Bowl LIV.

“You think the 49ers are going to the Super Bowl? It could be, let’s see,” – said Thomas. “We’ll just go out there and try to play the best football we can possibly do. And when the Super Bowl comes, whoever we play, they’re going to be in trouble.”

While some might say that Thomas is a bit too confident, the fact is that Baltimore Ravens look like the best team in football at the moment. The Ravens are currently on a seven-game winning streak and have the league’s largest point margin of plus-184. They also lead the NFL in rushing offense and are second in total offense.

Baltimore is currently favored to win Super Bowl according to ESPN’s Football Power Index, having a 26.2 percent chance to take it all. New England Patriots are second with 25.7 percent.
