Veteran wideout Odell Beckham Jr. has agreed to a deal with the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens confirmed the move on Sunday, announcing that they agreed in principle on a one-year contract with Beckham.

According to multiple reports, Beckham will get a guaranteed $15 million annual salary from the Ravens as part of the agreement. In addition, the Pro Bowler will be able to earn an extra $3 million via bonuses and incentives.

Beckham was considered the top free agent left on the market this offseason. Several teams were reportedly interested in signing him but were turned off by his salary demands. The 30-year-old player reportedly asked between $20 million and $15 million annually on a multi-year deal, something teams were unwilling to give him considering his injury history.

The reason why the Ravens met Beckham’s asking price, albeit on a one-year commitment, was the fact that they had the lowest-producing wideout group in the league in three of the four past seasons. With Beckham in the building, Baltimore now has a proven No. 1 option on the position and a player that can elevate the entire team.

Odell Beckham missed the entire 2022 recovering from an ACL injury he suffered in Super Bowl LVI. He has 531 career catches for 7,367 and 56 touchdowns. Beckham’s NFL resume includes three Pro Bowl nods and two Second-Team All-Pro selections.

New York Giants fans were not happy to see wideout Odell Beckham Jr. being traded to Cleveland Browns, but it seems like the 26-year-old Pro Bowler welcomed the move.

Beckham recently discussed his move with Complex and told the magazine that he felt he couldn’t reach his “full potential” with the Giants.

“I just felt with the Giants I was just stuck at a place that wasn’t working for me anymore,” – said Beckham. “I felt like I wasn’t going to be able to reach my full potential there. Mentally, physically, spiritually, everything I felt capable of doing, I just couldn’t see it happening there. So I think allowing me to be in an environment where I can be myself and give it a different approach, I feel like my football will benefit. I’m just excited about being able to play football again and not have to deal with all the other stuff and politics that came with my previous role.”

Odell Beckham established himself as one of the best WRs in football during his time in the NFL, but his talent was overshadowed by troubling behavior. Giants were initially ready to look past this, giving him a five-year, $95 million contract extension in 2018, but continued to listen to offers for him.

Several teams were interested in his services, but Browns had the best offer and ended up winning Beckham sweepstake with a package revolving around No.17 pick in 2019 NFL Draft and safety Jabrill Peppers.

In his five years in New York, Beckham managed to rack up 390 receptions for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns. His career highlights include NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award, three Pro Bowl selections, and two Second-team All-Pro honors.

New England Patriots are a golden standard in the NFL in terms of winning and Cleveland Browns’ new acquisition Odell Beckham Jr. knows that. This is why he made it his goal to bring the Browns multiple championships and make them the new Patriots.

“I plan on being there for the next five years and trying to bring as many championships there as possible, turning [the Browns] into the new Patriots.” – Beckham recently told the GQ magazine.

Beckham also shared his thoughts on Cleveland’s quarterback Baker Mayfield, saying that he has the potential to be the best QB in the league.

“I would say he’s next, but I feel like he’s now” – he added. “He’s Brett Favre—he’s going to be a Hall of Famer.”

Odell Beckham Jr. landed in Cleveland from New York Giants in a blockbuster trade that saw Jabrill Peppers, first round pick (17th overall) and third-round pick (95th overall) heading in the opposite way. Beckham ended the 2018 season with 77 receptions for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games he played.

While Cleveland Browns are far from being New Patriots, there is definitely a reason for their fans to be optimistic about the future. Besides Beckham and Mayfield, Browns have several other talented and young players, including defensive end Myles Garrett, wide receiver Jarvis Landry and cornerback Denzel Ward. This group is expected to lead Cleveland to the franchise’s first playoff appearance since 2002 and end the NFL longest playoff drought.

Cleveland Browns shocked the league a few weeks ago when they managed to trade for New York Giants’ superstar wideout Odell Beckham jr.. But, as it turns out, they were not the only team trying to get the 26-year-old Pro Bowler as San Francisco 49ers tried to get in on the fun as well.

The 49ers general manager John Lynch recently talked with KNBR about his team’s efforts to get Beckham and revealed that the trade failed because Giants demanded San Francisco’s No.2 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

“I think, ironically, the fact that we had the No. 2 pick made it more difficult because they wanted that badly,” – said Lynch. “They wanted two No. 1s. And we weren’t willing to part with that. It was too valuable of a pick.”

Lynch’s comments were also backed by the 49ers’ owner Jed York, who said that the organization didn’t think they are getting enough in return for such a high pick in the draft.

“We were definitely in it,” – said York. “We were aggressive. But I think (the Giants) wanted different things than we had to offer. I think it would have been very hard for us to just give up a first-round pick and not get a ton in return, other than just the player, knowing that the second pick in the draft is a very, very valuable pick.”

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, San Francisco 49ers did offer the Giants an opportunity to swap No.2 pick for their No.6 pick as part of the Odell Beckham trade but the two sides couldn’t agree on the rest of the package.

Cleveland Browns ended up using this to get Beckham by offering package that included 2019 first-round pick (17th overall) and the 2019 third-round selection (95th overall) alongside safety Jabrill Peppers.

Cleveland Browns have been a laughingstock of NFL for years, but it seems that will end in 2019. Browns managed to pull off the biggest trade of the offseason having acquired Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. from New York Giants.

According to ESPN‘s Adam Schefter, Giants will receive Cleveland’s first-round pick in 2019 (No. 17 overall) alongside their second third-round pick in 2019 (95th overall) and talented safety Jabrill Peppers.

After the Giants signed Odell Beckham Jr. to a five-year, $98.5 million deal in 2018, making him the highest paid receiver in the league, it seemed like the 26-year-old will remain in New York for years to come. But after the Giants had a disastrous last season and Beckham got involved in few incidents, the breakup between two sides wasn’t off the table.

Giants reportedly didn’t shop Beckham but have decided to listen to offers, and the one that came from Cleveland was enough to convince them it is time to move on from their wide receiver.

Browns, on the other hand, have already a Pro Bowl WR on their roster in Jarvis Landry but were actively looking for another option in the recent weeks. With Odell Beckham Jr., who already played with Landry at LSU, they formed a best wide receivers duo in the league which could propel them to their first playoff appearance since 2002.

Following a troublesome and injury-riddled season in 2017, Beckham had a strong run in 2018 recording 77 receptions for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns. His NFL career stats include 390 caught passes for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns.

New York Giants’ wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. finally received the contract extension he badly wanted. And it was worth waiting for it since the 25-year-old Pro Bowler will be the highest paid WR in NFL with this new contract.

According to ESPN‘s Josina Anderson, Beckham agreed to a five-year extension, worth $95 million ($19 million per year) with $65 million guaranteed. This means that he will surpass Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers in yearly average ($17 million per year) and Cincinnati Bengals’ Mike Evans in total guarantees ($55 million guaranteed).

We got him until he’s 108,” – said Giants general manager Dave Gettleman in a statement. “I never worried whether or not we would get it done. I’m pleased because the litmus test for a contract is that neither side is ticked off before the ink can dry, and neither side should be ticked off. It’s a very fair deal.

Odell Beckham Jr. was entering the fifth year of his rookie contract, which would earn him $8.5 million. According to the new contract, he will make $1.459 million in 2018 but is set to receive $20 million signing bonus. This helped the Giants to save $3 million against the cap.

According to Beckham, who was asking for a new deal for almost two years, he knew the deal would be made all along, and it was just “a matter of when.”

Honestly, I don’t even know how to explain it,” – said Beckham said in a statement. “I don’t know if it’s a relief, I don’t know — it’s a combination of everything. You’ve worked all your life to get to this point and it’s finally here. I knew that it would get done; it just was a matter of when. And I’m just so happy that it is finally done now.”

Odell Beckham Jr. only played four games in 2017 before being ruled out for the rest of the season due to an ankle injury. It looks like the injury is now behind him, and he will be ready for the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

New York Giants’ star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been looking to get a new contract for some time now but doesn’t intend to force it by missing out the training camp next month.

The 25-year-old was asked by reporters whether they would see him at the training camp, and he replied: “Yes, sir. Yes, you will.

No holdout,” – Beckham Jr. added.

In the recent years, star players have been deciding to skip the team’s offseason workouts and voluntary activities in order to put pressure on the team and get a new contract. While seeing players missing out the training camp is rare, this already happened in the past. For example, Pittsburgh Steelers star running back Le’Veon Bell has decided to miss the training camp in 2017, in order to try and get a new deal.  The fact that Bell’s actions didn’t work out in his favor may have inspired Odell Beckham Jr. to take another approach.

Although he didn’t participate in all drills at last week’s minicamp, Beckham Jr. has attended most of the Giants’ voluntary offseason activities and workouts.

Odell Beckham Jr. is entering the fifth year of his rookie contract which will see him earning $8 million per year. It is believed that Beckham Jr. is looking for a deal which would earn him at least double that figure.

There is a lot of uncertainty about receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and his future with the New York Giants. The 25-year-old reportedly wants a new contract which would make him one of the highest paid NFL players and threatened to hold out in the Giants preseason activities which didn’t sit well with the team’s front office. There are also concerns about his off-field behavior and recent scandals he participated in, with the team’s general manager Dave Gettleman recently saying that every player on the roster is tradable including Beckham.

On Monday, however, New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch decided to put the ball on the ground a bit, saying he hopes his star wide receiver will remain with the team in the future.

Personally, my nature is to be an optimist, and I would like to have Odell on the Giants this coming season.” – said Tisch to reporters on Monday. “He’s a tremendous athlete. He’s a great player. So I do hope that Odell is with the Giants for the 2018 season. I would like that very much.

He also talked about the contract negotiations with the player, saying that they will take place when the time is appropriate.

Odell’s contract will be negotiated at the appropriate time. At the moment, conversations between (Giants GM) Dave Gettleman and Odell’s representatives are at the earliest, most premature stages.” – he said while adding that Odell Beckham Jr. threat to hold out is “hypothetical” at the moment.

Odell Beckham Jr. is entering the fifth year of his contract after the Giants exercised that option in 2017. He is set to earn $8.459 million, all of which became guaranteed on March 14.

After phenomenal first three seasons with the team, in which he became the fastest wide receiver to 200 catches and 3,000 career receiving yards in NFL history, Beckham Jr. suffered an injury in Week 5 of the 2017 and was ruled out for the season.

Cleveland Browns have been a laughingstock of NFL for years, but it seems that will end in 2019. Browns managed to pull off the biggest trade of the offseason having acquired Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. from New York Giants.
