Sources confirmed on Saturday that the Miami Dolphins have reached an agreement to sign wide receiver Chosen Robbie Anderson. The 29-year-old player was released by the Arizona Cardinals on March 8 after joining the team last season in a midseason trade.

Before being offloaded by the Cardinals, Anderson had seven catches for 76 yards in 10 games last season. Prior to his trade to the Cardinals, Anderson played six games for the Carolina Panthers, making 13 catches for 206 yards and a touchdown.

Anderson is the second receiver that the Dolphins have acquired this season; the first being former New York Jets receiver Braxton Berrios. He will have to compete for a place in the roster with Berrios as well as River Cracraft, Cedrick Wilson, and 2022 fourth-round pick Erik Ezukanma during the team’s upcoming training camp.

Currently, the Dolphins’ receiving corps is led by Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, who together set an NFL record in 2022 for most receiving yards by a pair of teammates with 3,066 yards.

The Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has cleared concussion protocol a month after entering it, NFL Network reported on Thursday. Tagovailoa was diagnosed with his second concussion of the season after a knock to the head during Miami’s 26-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Christmas Day. He was placed into concussion protocol and missed the Dolphins’ final three games of the season as a result.

Named a first alternate to the Pro Bowl Games, Tagovailoa will not be participating despite having cleared the protocol, one source claimed. According to said source, Tagovailoa’s stay in concussion protocol was not the result of any debilitating symptoms or setbacks, but rather that the length of the stay was pre-determined.

Tagovailoa constantly proved himself as one of Miami’s star players this season, being named FedEx Air Player of the Week in Week 2 and Week 8. He also set career highs in completion percentage, passing yards, and passing touchdowns.

Entering the 2023 season, Dolphins general manager Chris Grier confirmed that Tagovailoa will be Miami’s starting quarterback. According to doctors who have evaluated the player, Tagovailoa’s concussions should not leave him susceptible to further head injuries.

Miami Dolphins’ cornerback, Bobby McCain, is getting rewarded for his good performance in the past couple of seasons. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the Dolphins have signed McCain to a four-year, $27 million extension which will see the 24-year-old becoming one of the league’s highest-paid slot corners. Sources close to the Dolphins say the deal includes $16 million guaranteed.

Bobby McCain had a strong showing in 2017, being featured in all 16 games of the season and recording 48 tackles, 1.0 sacks, and 2 interceptions. He was even publicly praised by Dolphins coach Adam Gase, who called McCain one of the team’s leaders.

I don’t know why everybody always wants to replace Bobby, but all he does is just consistently play probably better than everybody else,”- said Gase back in April. “He’s one of our guys that’s probably one of our top leaders that we have in our locker room. He’s a guy that we’ve counted on for two years and he just keeps getting better.

After playing college football for four years at the University of Memphis, Bobby McCain entered the 2015 NFL Draft, where the Dolphins selected him in the fifth round with the 145th overall pick. His overall career stats in NFL include 121 tackles, 17 pass deflections, and 3 interceptions.

Veteran running back Frank Gore is returning to Miami, after spending his college football career there. According to reports, the 34-year-old has agreed to a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins after Indianapolis Colts declined to renew his contract in the offseason.

Gore played in all games for the Colts in the 2017 season, and finished with 261 carries for 961 yards adding three touchdowns in the process. This means he was just 39 yards short of having his 10th 1,000 yards NFL season. He also added 245 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.

Gore spent four years playing for the Miami Hurricanes and won the BCS national champion in 2001, before entering the 2005 NFL Draft. San Francisco 49ers drafted him in the third round and he ended up playing for them until 2014. After a mediocre rookie season, he exploded with career-high 1,695 yards in his second season and established himself as team’s starting running back. He ended his stint with the 49ers as franchise’s career rushing yards and rushing touchdowns leader. He also had five Pro-Bowl appearances and received Second-team All-Pro honors in 2006.

After the 2014 season wrapped up, Gore joined Indianapolis Colts on a three year, $12 million deal. Although the team intended to pair him their emerging star quarterback Andrew Luck, that never materialized in full, since Luck was often hurt.

Frank Gore will enter his 14th NFL season on the fifth spot on the NFL’s career rushing list. He needs 76 yards in order to pass former Patriots and Jets RB Curtis Martin on the fourth spot.

Miami Dolphins have entered the 2018 NFL season with an intention to make significant changes to their roster. After previously trading wide receiver Jarvis Landry to the Cleveland Browns, the Dolphins now announce that they have released their defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and tight end Julius Thomas.

Ndamukong Suh joined the Miami Dolphins in 2015, signing a six-year, $114 million contract and becoming the highest paid defensive player in the league at the moment. He didn’t manage to justify the money invested in him, however, making just one Pro-Bowl appearance and failing to have more than 6.0 sacks during his three seasons with the team. He was also a part of the defense that ended 29th in run defense and 26th in sacks in the 2017 season. With his release, the Dolphins got a large contract off their books and saved $3.9 million in cap space. If they were to release him in June, the team could have saved $17 million against the cap.

Julius Thomas, on the other side, spent just one season with the team, after being acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was featured in 14 games in 2017 season, and had 41 receptions for 388 yards, adding three touchdowns in the process.

Miami Dolphins also released linebacker Lawrence Timmons, who joined the team in 2017, signing a two-year deal worth $12 million. Before joining Dolphins, Timmons was a member of Pittsburgh Steelers for 10 years during which he had 677 tackles and 35.5 sacks. His game didn’t translate well in Miami since Timmons managed only 58 tackles and three passes defended.

Besides making these cuts, Miami Dolphins have officially confirmed the acquisition of defensive end Robert Quinn from the Los Angeles Rams. The Dolphins sent a 2018 fourth-round draft pick and agreed to swap sixth-round picks with the Rams in exchange for Quinn.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry is heading to his third straight Pro Bowl without having his future settled. Landry, who is set to become a free agent in March, is yet to strike a new deal with the Dolphins. That, however, could soon change, since he told ESPN that there is some progress in the negotiations.

We’re making progress,” – said Landry. “We’re working. Hopefully it’ll work into something, but honestly, I’m here to enjoy the Pro Bowl and let the rest take care of itself.

This comes a week after the 25-year-old stated that he felt disrespected by the team in the process of making him an offer.

From the offer process until this point was disrespectful,“- he said. “I tried to handle it the right way and figured if a team values you and wants you to be a part of the team, why haven’t they answered in the past month?

Jarvis Landry was the league’s leading receiver in 2017 season with 112 receptions for 987 yards and 9 touchdowns. If the Dolphins fail to strike a deal with the player, they could place a franchise tag on him, which would be worth around $16 million. Asked would he be prepared to play under the tag, Landry stated he only wants to play football.

I just want to play football. I love the game,” – said Landry. “I love everything about it. I love being in that locker room, my teammates, being with the guys and going out there and competing for every Sunday or Monday or Thursday or whatever it is to win a game. For me, that’s what it’s about. That’s the most important thing to me, the most important factor to me.

Miami Dolphins selected Landry in the 2014 NFL Draft with a 63rd overall pick. During the three years in the league, he managed 400 receptions which are third among all players in NFL during that period.
