While Brothers says that Fultz will return to the 49ers, Philadelphia’s general manager Elton Brand recently told reporters that he is unsure about the players’ return in 2018-19 and that he will have an update in the following weeks.

Despite all the troubles surrounding Markelle Fultz since he came to the league, there are several teams that were inquiring about his availability in the past weeks. One of those teams is Detroit Pistons, who were reportedly willing to give up a first-round pick and gamble that Fultz will live up to his potential.

“I have given no indication to [general manager] Elton Brand or anyone else that Markelle would prefer to be traded,” – said Brothers. “My focus is to get Markelle healthy. End of story.“
