As it turns out, Tottenham inserted a clause in their agreement with Bayern that allows them to buy back Kane from them at some point. The London club’s chairman Daniel Levy confirmed this during a recent appearance at a fan forum.

Levy was initially asked about the existence of the buy-back clause by an audience member but was reluctant to respond. However, when pushed by a host, Levy delivered a positive response. “Of course,” Levy said.

He went on to play 430 games with the club in all competitions, scoring 278 goals and contributing 64 assists. However, the England international didn’t manage to win a single trophy with the club, which is why he ended up expressing interest in a new challenge.

Kane and Tottenham both seem in a good spot after their split. The 30-year-old player already has five goals and two assists in just six games with Bayern. Tottenham, on the other hand, are second on the Premier League table with four wins and one draw after first five games.
