Japanese Kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa broke his silence on Tuesday about the news of his planned fight against celebrated boxer Floyd Mayweather later in December.

First, the 20-year-old responded to Conor McGregor’s controversial post about the fight.

“Hello, My. McGregor. My name is Tenshin Nasukawa. I am not Jackie Chan. I promise to avenge your loss, so please watch my fight. @TheNotoriousMMA”

The kickboxer was replying to a controversial post by McGregor.

On Tuesday, Nasukawa reiterated his zeal to defeat the 50-0 Mayweather. “I don’t care what the rules are. I want to be the man who changes history. I’ll do that with these fists, with one punch-just watch, the Japanese said.

Like Mayweather, Nasukawa holds an unbeaten record of 27-0 and is one of the most famous Mixed Martial Arts fighter in Japan. Mayweather seemed to acknowledge the talent on Monday, calling him “an unbelievable talent.”

“He’s very special, he’s fast, and he’s strong. I’m older now and when it comes to experience, I have it on my side. He has youth on his side and he’s going to bring a lot of excitement,” Mayweather said as praise to his opponent to be.

While the date for the bout has been set as New Year’s Eve, the rules are yet to be finalized. Mayweather is a boxer who relies on nothing else other than his punches. Nasukawa’s strong point is his legs. While it’s too early to say who will win, the winner could become clear once the rules are set.

Lots of people were wondering what Conor McGregor will do next. Now, we might have some answers. McGregor is currently promoting his documentary Conor McGregor: Notorious, and Ireland’s Entertainment jumped on the chance to ask him about his plans for the future.

I’ve got everyone clawing at me, trying to get at me, and that’s from multiple sports, multiple organizations, multiple everything,” – McGregor said. “It’s been like that for a long, long time, I feel, so it’s just another day for me. I know there are many contenders in the UFC. There are many boxing contenders as well. What interests me is certainly a UFC bout, certainly a defense of my lightweight title. There is a fighter with the interim lightweight belt. I feel that will be next. We’ll see how negotiations go.

The “fighter” McGregor refers to is UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson, who is currently on a 10 win streak and got the title in the fight against Kevin Lee. If negotiations with Ferguson fail, McGregor isn’t worried, since he has numerous other opportunities.

The Diaz trilogy is also there,” – McGregor said. “I can defend my belt against Nate. Maybe we can persuade one of these boxing opponents to step into the Octagon, or there’s also boxing bouts as well. So, there’s so many options. I feel to legitimize the belt — there’s an interim champion, I’m the unified champion — I feel that will be next. We are currently in contract negotiations, and we’ll see where it goes.

McGregor had his last UFC fight in November of 2016 when he defeated Eddie Alvarez. With the win against Alvarez, McGregor became the only fighter in UFC history to simultaneously hold titles from two divisions. His only fight in 2017 was his boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather in August when he lost by TKO in the 10th round.

Despite his bold predictions, Conor McGregor didn’t manage to upset Floyd Mayweather. In one of the most hyped boxing matches of past couple of years, Mayweather defeated UFC fighter Conor McGregor in the 10th round by TKO. This meant Floyd Mayweather remained undefeated, retiring once again, but this time with a 50-0 record, passing the great Rocky Marciano. Of course, this fight being counted into Mayweather’s record won’t sit well with everyone. There are plenty of those who believe that a fight against a fighter who didn’t have previous boxing experience shouldn’t be a part of his record.

For first 3 rounds, McGregor put up a good fight, landing a couple of solid punches. The 4th round saw Mayweather waking up as McGregor was already looking tired. Mayweather said that he and his team planned for this all along. The goal was to let McGregor “shoot his shots early” and finish it later in the match. Mayweather started to land punches and combos while exhausted McGregor didn’t have an adequate answer. In the 10th round, McGregor was getting hit with clean punches all over the place, and referee Robert Byrd had to step in and end the match. After the fight, McGregor wasn’t too happy about the match being stopped, saying he was just a bit fatigued and could have carried on.

According to CompuBox, Floyd Mayweather landed 170 out of 320 punches (53%), while Conor McGregor landed 111 out of 430 (26%). Interesting thing is that McGregor managed to land more punches than Manny Pacquiao, who landed 81 punches in his 12 rounds against Mayweather. Take a look at all of the Shostats from Compubox below.

Despite the entire buzz that was created around this fight, the 20,000 seats T-Mobile arena wasn’t packed, with 14,623 people in attendance. It looks like ticket prices ranging from $500 to $10,000 were just a bit too much.

One of the most hyped fights in this century, Floyd Mayweather against Conor McGregor, is days away, and things are getting even more heated between the two. Now, Mayweather promised to bet big on himself to win the fight, with CBS Sports speculating that it could be a sum of $5 million.

Mayweather is so sure in himself walking out victorious, that he believes his win is a pure formality, and that’s why he is looking to earn a bit more money on top of $350 million he is projected to earn from the fight itself.

You guys will see the ticket, don’t worry. You guys will see the betting ticket. I can’t really say what’s the number, but I will bet something heavy. Will it be my biggest ever? Most likely.” – said Mayweather recently.

Anyone who follows the life (or Twitter account) of Floyd Mayweather, knows he is no stranger to big bets. He famously made a $1.1 million bet on Oregon to beat Arizona State in October 2012 and won. Also, in 2014 he put $800,000 on the Denver Broncos to win over the New York Jets. Although Mayweather only brags with winning tickets, there are several confirmations that he also lost the bets in the past. Although Dana White, president of UFC, said in 2013 that Mayweather often bets on himself, there are no proofs for that. The only thing we know is that Mayweather’s entourage occasionally made smaller bets on him to win in a fight.

If you are wondering how it would be legal for someone to make a bet on himself, you should know that there are no regulations forbidding the fighters to bet on themselves to win a fight. On the other hand, if a fighter makes a bet against himself, the law steps in.
