The post Dolphins Hopeful That Tyreek Hill Will Play Vs Cowboys appeared first on SportzBonanza.
]]>The Miami Dolphins are hopeful that Tyreek Hill will be fit to play against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, a source revealed to ESPN. Listed as questionable due to harboring an ankle injury, the wide receiver participated in his team’s practice sessions on Thursday and Friday in a limited capacity. Still, the team will wait to see how he feels on Sunday ahead of the game before making a final decision.
Hill suffered his injury during the Dolphins’ narrow 27-28 loss to the Tennessee Titans during Week 14. As a result, he was absent from the Dolphins’ Week 15 win over the New York Jets, however, the team remained strong even without Hill in their ranks, achieving a blowout 30-0 victory.
Given his strong form this season, Hill will be hoping to return sooner rather than later, particularly as he seeks to become the first player in NFL history to make 2,000 receiving yards in a single season. Currently, on 1,542 receiving yards this season, he’ll need to average around 150 yards in his final three regular season games, making his participation in the Cowboys game almost essential.

]]>Miami Dolphins linebacker Jaelan Phillips suffered an Achilles injury during the team’s 34-13 win over the New York Jets on Thursday night.
“It’s his Achilles — doesn’t look great, but we’ll find out more tomorrow,” Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said in his latest update on Phillips. “Yeah, I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but not fired up about it.”
Phillips went down during the fourth quarter with a non-contact lower leg injury. The television replay indicated that his left calf was firing, which is a telling sign of a ruptured Achilles tendon. Unable to rise, Phillips was carted off the field in an emotional state.
Phillips took to X to spread a message of hope to his fans in the face of his injury. Should Phillips be unavailable for an extended period, Andrew van Ginkel and defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah would be expected to play a bigger role in the team going forward.

]]>The Miami Dolphins preseason clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars came to a premature halt with eight minutes and 32 seconds left on the clock after Dolphins’ receiver Daewood Davis went down after taking a hit from Jaguars linebacker Dequan Jackson. After being immobilized on a backboard, Davis was carted off the field. The Jaguars were leading 31-18 when the game was called.
“Obviously, not anything you want to see,” Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence commented. “Obviously, a tough scene. The game we all love to play and to see a guy go down like that … I know we’re all thinking about [him].”
Later on Saturday, the Dolphins posted an update on social media stating that Davis had been transported to the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville for further treatment. The team added that Davis was conscious and that he expressed movement in all his extremities.

]]>After a breakout third year with the Miami Dolphins, the team is rewarding cornerback Xavien Howard with a record-breaking deal.
On Thursday, Howard and the Dolphins agreed to a contract that will make him the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL. The deal, which could keep Howard in Miami until the 2023 season, includes $46 million guaranteed.
In total, the total length of the contract is for 5 years and the cornerback could earn up to $76.5 million over its duration.
Howard, who was drafted by the Dolphins in the 2nd round of the 2016 draft, had a monster year for Miami in 2018. The third-year pro tied for the league lead in interceptions with 7 and was named to the second team All-Pro list.
He also made his first career Pro Bowl, a fitting reward for what was truly an elite season.
Howard was one of the few bright spots in a mediocre Dolphins team that finished the season with a 7-9 record and failed to qualify for the playoffs.
After signing Howard to a long-term deal, Miami has its defensive star locked up for the foreseeable future and doesn’t have to worry about testing the free agent waters at his position.
It’s a deal that makes Howard a very wealthy man and the Dolphins a very happy franchise.
