Zlatan Ibrahimovic still doesn’t know where he’ll play next season. His contract with AC Milan expires in August, and the 38-year-old forward is unsure if he has a future at San Siro.

Ibrahimovic has been the main figure in Milan’s return to form in the second part of the season, scoring 4 goals and dishing 3 assists in the past six games. Two of those goals came in Tuesday night’s 2-1 win against Sassuolo, which helped his team get to the European League spot in Seria A.

Despite his fine form, however, Ibrahimovic hasn’t heard back from Milan’s brass about a potential contract extension.

“I still have three games, still 10 days, nobody said anything to me, and I don’t expect anything else,” said Ibrahimovic after Sassuolo game via Sky Sport Italia. “There are things that we cannot control, but that seem strange to me, but we are doing great things.”

Most earlier reports suggested that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will leave Milan after his contract expires and return to native Sweden. Ibrahimovic became a minority owner of the Allsvenskan side Hammarby in 2019, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he ends his career with the club.

Ibrahimovic joined Milan for his second stint in December, after previously playing two years in MLS with LA Galaxy. Since arriving in Italy, he played 17 games in all competitions, scoring a total of eight goals and contributing with four assists.
