Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is currently having another stellar MLS season with Los Angeles Galaxy, having scored 26 goals in 25 games he played in 2019 so far. But considering the fact that his contract is expiring at the end of the season, Galaxy fans are rightfully wondering whether the “Zlatan show” will continue in 2020 as well.

As it turns out, even the Galaxy’s general manager Dennis te Kloese doesn’t have an answer to this question.

Te Kloese recently spoke with ESPN Deportes and told the magazine that they will discuss a contract extension with Ibrahimovic once the season ends.

“We’ve agreed that after the season we will evaluate and look calmly at his personal situation and that of the team,” – said Te Kloese.

Despite this, Te Kloese didn’t hide the fact that the team would love to have him back in the future.

“Zlatan is a very special case,” – he added. “If you watched on Sunday how he helped the team, he is committed to the club, to the fans and it is very special, it’s a luxury to have him.”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and LA Galaxy agreed to a new and improved one-year deal before the start of the 2019 MLS season. With the new contract, Ibrahimovic got an annual salary of $7.2 million, which made him the highest-paid player in MLS history.
