The Las Vegas Raiders worked out a new deal with their wideout Hunter Renfrow. According to the franchise, Renfrow agreed to a two-year extension that will keep him in Las Vegas through 2024.

Reportedly, Renfrow will receive $32 million over the course of the deal, with $21 million coming his way in guarantees. The 26-year-old player is set to earn $2.54 million in base salary this coming season.

The new deal is a way for the Raiders to award Renfrow for his breakthrough campaign in 2021. The Clemson product emerged as the team’s leading wide receiver last season, catching 103 passes for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns. All were career highs, and he received his first Pro Bowl nod as a result.

“Hunter is one of the true leaders on this team, and he exemplifies the values of the organization in how he comes to work every day,” said new Raiders coach Josh McDaniels. “He is a tremendous teammate on and off the field, and the entire Raider Nation is excited to see what the future holds for Hunter.”

Despite inking a new deal, Renfrow might see his role in the Raiders’ offense shrink compared to 2021. The team previously went on and traded for star wideout Davante Adams, who will take over the role as quarterback Derek Carr’s primary target. Renfrow is expected to work in the slot as a result and try to do some damage there.
