The main goal for All-Star guard Anthony Edwards is to bring the NBA title to the Minnesota Timberwolves. After that, Edwards might consider tapping into his multi-sport talents and try his luck in the NFL.

Edwards grew up playing football at several positions and was considered one of the best Pop Warner running backs in the nation. He later switched to basketball, considering it “more fun.” While Edwards’ decision was correct, since he is one of the NBA’s biggest young stars, he still hasn’t forgotten about his beginnings.

During a recent appearance on the Open Thoughts show hosted by Marco Summers, Edwards was asked about the prospects of playing in both NBA and NFL.

“I think I might be the first one,” Edwards said.

Summers was then curious about whether Edwards would actually try to do that.

“I’m gonna try… First I gotta handle my business in the NBA … Minnesota organization, we want to win a championship. After that, we’ll figure that out,” Edwards shared.

Anthony Edwards is currently having his best season as a pro. He is averaging 26.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game, all career highs. The Wolves are one of the league’s most pleasant surprises, sitting at the top of the Western Conference with a league-best 11-4 record.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
