After several underwhelming seasons in Europe, U.S. international right-back Bryan Reynolds is finally starting to play to his potential. He is in great form with Westerlo so far in 2022-23, prompting the Belgian club to start the process of turning his loan deal into a permanent transfer.

Reynolds joined Westerlo at the start of the season on a year-long loan from Seria A side AS Roma. He emerged as one of the club’s most important players since then, making 23 appearances in all competitions and scoring one goal alongside four assists.

Stellar performances have put Reynolds on the radar of several clubs from England, including Championship sides Watford and Swansea City, which is causing Westerlo to move quickly, according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport. The Belgian Pro League side intends to activate the €7 million purchase option in their loan agreement with Roma and only needs to convince the player that staying is a good option for his career.

Bryan Reynolds started his professional career with FC Dallas in 2019, playing 31 games with the MLS side over the course of two seasons. His talent impressed AS Roma scout, and the club brought him to Italy in February 2021. However, he never got a proper chance in Italy and made only one Seria A appearance before being sent on loans to Kortrijk and Westerlo, respectively.

Reynolds represents the United States on an international level. He played for all nation’s youth sides and made his senior debut in 2021. He currently has two appearances for USMNT.

Ben loves sports so much but prefers watching other people do it. He prefers not to share what teams he's supporting but he is willing to admit that Lebron James is, in fact, the king.
