The Golden State Warriors will be complete by the time the NBA playoffs start, after all. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, All-Star forward Andrew Wiggins is expected to rejoin the team early this week after missing 22 games.

The reason for Wiggins’ absence was reportedly tied to attending to a family matter. The 28-year-old player played his most recent game in mid-February, delivering a 29-point outing in a 135-126 win over the Washington Wizards.

Having Wiggins back will be a big boost for the Warriors as the team is trying to hold onto a sixth seed in the Western Conference. Wiggins averaged 17.1 points, his lowest since his rookie year, in addition to 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 37 games this season. He missed 21 games early in the season while nursing several injuries.

The Golden State Warriors are currently in the midst of a crowded race for the two guaranteed playoff spots in the West. They sit at No. 6 with a 41-38 record and have the same number of losses as the LA Clippers, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the New Orleans Pelicans. The good news for Golden State is that two of their three remaining games come against the young Oklahoma City Thunder team and the Portland Trail Blazers, who are out of the postseason race.
