Despite being 42, Vince Carter isn’t ready to leave the NBA. Carter, who spent the 2018/19 season with Atlanta Hawks, confirmed that he will return in 2019/20 for his 22nd season in the league.

During his appearance on Winging It podcast, Carter was discussing  Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki’s retirements and was asked whether he will come back to NBA next season.

“Yeah, I’m coming back,” – said Carter.

Carter was then asked whether his 22nd NBA season will be in Hawks’ jersey.

“I would like to. We’ll see what happens,” – he responded.

Vince Carter played 76 games for the Atlanta Hawks in this regular season and showed that he can still be productive at an advance age. Carter ended up averaging 7.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game in just 17.5 minutes on court.

Carter, who was drafted fifth overall in 1998 by Toronto Raptors, played for eight NBA teams during his career and managed to earn eight All-Star appearances. His career highlights also include NBA Rookie of the Year award and NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion title in 2000.
