Despite all of his talent, the Minnesota Vikings wideout Justin Jefferson recognizes that he isn’t the best player in his position in the league. However, he does believe that will be the case after the 2022 season.

In a recent interview with Complex, Jefferson was asked whether he thinks he is the best receiver in NFL.

“I’ll say after this year, I’ll be the best receiver in the NFL,” Jefferson responded before explaining that he sees Davante Adams as the best WR in the league at the moment.

“I definitely have to give it to Davante Adams as of now, him being so crazy and dynamic on the field,” he added. “His route running is crazy, so I definitely have to give it to him right now, but I’m pretty sure after this year, it’s going to be me.”

You can call Justin Jefferson crazy optimistic, considering he is only entering his third year in the league. However, it’s safe to say that his production since entering the league does put him on track to be in the conversation at one point if he continues performing at a high level.

Jefferson, who was the Vikings’ first-round pick in 2020, entered the NFL with a bang. He had 88 catches for 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns en route to being named in Second-Team All-Pro and earning Pro Bowl honors.

Just when everyone thought this was just beginner’s luck, the LSU product put together an even more impressive sophomore outing. He added more Second-Team All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors to his resume while having 108 receptions for 1,616 yards and 10 TDs.
