The Golden States Warriors continued their busy offseason by signing veteran forward Dario Saric in free agency. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Saric got a one-year deal from Golden State.

Saric spent the past season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he played 20 games and averaged 7.3 points after returning from meniscus surgery. He was considered one of the best players left on the free-agent market before the Warriors picked him up.

Saric seems like a great fit for the Warriors. He is good with the ball in his hands despite his size and can be a threat from the three-point line when he gets going. The 29-year-old player will receive a lot of open looks in the Warriors’ offense and might end up being an impactful role player for a team that plans to make another run for the championship.

This is a great opportunity for Saric to get his career back on track after several seasons of struggling with injuries and inconsistency. In his last season, when he was mostly injury free in 2019-20, the Croatian averaged 10.7 points and 6.2 rebounds while making 47.6% of his field goal shots.

The Golden States Warriors have been aggressive this offseason in trying to rebuild their roster around core players Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins. They traded guard Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards in exchange for future Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul while also adding a number of players in free agency, including Cory Joseph and Trayce Jackson-Davis.
