Veteran defensive tackle Mike Daniels is changing divisions after eight years in NFC North. After previously suiting up for Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, Daniels is now headed to AFC North having agreed to a deal with Cinncinati Bengals.

Bengals confirmed the deal on Wednesday, announcing that the 31-year-old inked a one-year deal with the franchise. While the team didn’t disclose financial terms, NFL Network’s Mike Garofolo reported that the contract is worth up to $2.7 million.

Cinncinati reportedly views Daniels as a nice fit to their veteran interior defensive line and they believe that he can be productive alongside Geno Atkins and D.J. Reader. The organization also values his versatility and ability to contributed to both ends of the D-line.

Mike Daniels spent 2019 with Lions, where he failed to make an impact as he struggled with injuries for most of the season. His years with the Packers, however, were far more eye-catching.

Daniels played in Green Bay between 2012 and 2018, accumulating 72 starts and contributing with 235 tackles, 29.0 sacks, and one interception. He also had one Pro Bowl season at Lambeau Field.
