U.S. international back Sergino Dest has set some big goals for his career. In a recent interview with Dutch NOS Jeugdjournaal, Dest said that he wants to become the most expensive full-back in soccer history.

Dest broke into Ajax’s first team this season, and quickly became an integral part of the club’s back four. His performances caught the attention of almost every big European club, with Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain already fielding inquiries for the 19-year-old back.

Dest knows that he is in for a big transfer at some point, and he really wants to reset the full-back market with it.

“I want to be the most expensive full-back ever because when you reach that it shows that you are one of the best full-back of the world,” said Dest. “I want to go over €50 million.”

Being the most expensive back isn’t the only dream for Dest. He also wants to play with some of the best players in soccer.

“I want to play with [Kylian] Mbappe, Ronaldo, Messi, or Neymar. Time will tell if it will come true. But it is possible,” he added.

Bayern is reportedly the most aggressive in attempting to land Sergino Dest, and the Bavarian giant already had one offer rejected by Ajax. On the other hand, it is believed that Dest favors Barcelona, being the longtime fan of the Catalan club, and would be ready to push the move to Spain.

Dest made 36 appearances in all competitions for Ajax this season, contributing with two goals and six assists.
