Bayern Munich has loaned USMNT attacking midfielder Malik Tillman to the Scottish Premiership side Glasgow Rangers for the 2022-23 season. There is a good chance that Tillman remains in Scotland past this upcoming season as the agreement also includes the option to make the move permanent.

The Scottish club confirmed the move on their official social media on Friday.

“It is a new challenge for me at a huge club with fantastic supporters, and I can’t wait for the season ahead,” said Tillman in his first interview as a member of the Rangers.

Tillman had his professional debut for Bayern’s reserve team in 2020 and went on to score a total of nine goals in 24 matches in the third and fourth tiers of Germany’s league system. The 20-year-old player also received a shot in the first team during 2021-22, making seven appearances in all competitions and scoring once.

Tillman was born in Germany to an American father and German mother. He represented both U.S. and Germany on youth levels but opted to commit to USMNT on senior level back in May and has made two appearances so far.

Glasgow Rangers are one of the two most popular clubs in Scotland, with the other being their bitter rivals, Celtic. Rangers have won the Scottish division record 55 times and are the second-most successful soccer club in the world by the number of trophies.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
