USMNT’s star forward Giovanni Reyna agreed to a new contract with Borussia Dortmund according to ESPN. Reportedly, Reyna committed to a multi-year deal that will keep him with Bundesliga giants at least through the 2023/24 season.

Reyna will reportedly earn around $4 million on an annual basis with his new contract.

Reyna previously had one year left on his deal with Borussia, having agreed to a three-year contract following his arrival from New York City FC in 2018. The 18-year-old American reportedly attracted interest from several high-profile clubs around Europe in recent months, but he wasn’t interested in a change of scenery as he believes staying in Dortmund is the best option for his further development.

Gio Reyna emerged as one of the most talented players in Germany this season, having received a more prominent role on Borussia’s team. Reyna already played 12 games in all competitions for the club and has two goals and five assists to show for.

Reyna also made his way into the United States Men’s National Team this year. After previously representing the U.S. on youth levels, he made his debut for the senior team on Tuesday in a friendly against Wales.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
