It appears that the interest in FC Dallas and U.S. international striker Ricardo Pepi is getting bigger by day. Pepi, who already has several admirers in Europe, is reportedly being monitored by Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.

According to influential German media outlet Bild, Wolfsburg is impressed by Pepi and is ready to enter the race to sign the highly-rated 18-year-old star. They still haven’t made an official approach to Dallas, but this is believed to be just a matter of time. The list of Pepi’s suitors also includes Dutch powerhouse Ajax and Seria A side Genoa.

If he joins Wolfsburg, Pepi would receive a warm welcome considering the club has several American players on their books. This includes defender John Brooks, forward Ulysses Llanez, and midfielder Bryang Kayo.

Ricardo Pepi established himself as one of the brightest talents in the MLS thanks to an impressive 2021 campaign with Dallas. Pepi scored 13 goals and added two assists so far in the MLS season, and has already earned his first All-Star nod.

Thanks to his good form, Pepi recently earned a call-up for the United States men’s national team and didn’t take long before making a mark on the international stage. He scored on his debut, contributing to USMNT’s 4-1 win over Honduras in World Cup Qualifiers.

I am a reality TV junkie. My dream since I was a kid was to be on Big Brother, but until then you can catch me binge-watching episodes each summer.
