United States men’s national team and Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams will be out of action for an indefinite period after undergoing a hamstring operation. The 24-year-old player has been sidelined since Leeds United’s 2-4 victory over Wolves in the Premier League on March 18.

Described as a “noninvasive” procedure by sources close to the matter, Adams decided to undergo the operation after consulting a specialist. Leeds United officials are still awaiting confirmation on how long Adams’ recovery is expected to take before announcing a likely return date.

Adams’ absence poses a major concern for Leeds given his role at the heart of the team’s midfield. He has been a key player since joining Leeds from RB Leipzig in the summer and will be missing as his team seeks to avoid relegation. Currently, Leeds are ranked 14th in the Premier League standings; hovering just two points above the relegation zone with 11 games still to play.

On the international stage, Adams served as captain of the United States men’s national team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, guiding his team to the round of 16.

I am a reality TV junkie. My dream since I was a kid was to be on Big Brother, but until then you can catch me binge-watching episodes each summer.
