Premier League club Fulham has decided to hand United States defender Tim Ream a contract extension, the team announced on Monday, thereby keeping the player in London through the 2023-24 season. The announcement comes after Ream scored the first Premier League goal of his career during Fulham’s 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Monday night.

“I feel the best I’ve ever felt, as confident as I’ve ever been,” Ream exclaimed following the win at Selhurst Park. “To extend it another 12 months into 2024 is a proud moment for myself and my family. I’m happy to continue on this journey with the Club, the fans, and all the guys in the changing room.”

Having been at Fulham since 2015, Ream has been through several promotions and relegations with the club. Last season, he was part of Fulham’s EFL Championship-winning squad.

Ream continues to be a heavily relied-upon player at the club, playing in every minute of Fulham’s Premier League season to date while also earning a spot in the United States World Cup squad, playing in each of his nation’s games. Fulham is currently in eighth place on the Premier League table, having won six of their first 16 games.
