After being a track athlete and professional soccer player (briefly), Usain Bolt is now ready to try to compete in another sport. As it turns out, Bolt would be open to playing in the NFL.

Bolt was recently asked by TMZ what it would take to get him on an NFL team, considering that he admitted several years ago that he was getting offers to play football professionally.

“If the Patriots or Aaron Rodgers call me.” – said Bolt. “If they call me, I’m ready!”

Back in 2016, several NFL teams reached out to Bolt, offering him a tryout as a wide receiver. He refused the opportunity at the time, but it seems like his opinion changed since then.

“I got a lot of offers to go to the NFL,” – Bolt told LA Times back in September. “It was something that scared me at the time. I think it’s better now. Back then, it was really a rough sport. If it was like it is now, I think I would probably transition and try to play in the NFL.”

It remains unclear whether NFL teams would take a gamble on the 33-year-old Usain Bolt, despite all of his previous accomplishments. Still, NFL saw even stranger things happen, so don’t be surprised if you see Bolt in an NFL uniform at some point. Even if it’s an offseason practice.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
