United States international and SV Darmstadt 98 striker Terrence Boyd is considering playing in Major League Soccer. According to ESPN‘s reports, several MLS teams are interested in Boyd’s services and have entered the discussions with the player’s agent.

Toronto FC is one of the favorites to sign Boyd, who are currently in need of a striker after they decided not to offer Tosaint Ricketts a new deal and with Sebastian Giovinco considering offers from Saudi Arabia.

Terrence Boyd started his professional career in Germany before making a move to Austrian side Rapid Wien in 2012. After two years with Rapid, he was acquired by RB Leipzig, where he played between 2014 and 2017. Leipzig decided not to offer him a new contract after 2016-2017season, so Boyd joined SV Darmstadt 98 where he played 30 games and scored eight goals so far.

Despite being born in Germany, Terrence Boyd decided to represent the United States on the international level and was part of the nations’ U20 and U23 teams. He was handed his first call-up for the senior team in 2012 by then-head coach Jurgen Klinsmann in the match against Italy.

Since then, Boyd has made 13 more appearances for USMNT with the last one being in 2016. He failed to score a single goal in either of the 14 games.

Ben loves sports so much but prefers watching other people do it. He prefers not to share what teams he's supporting but he is willing to admit that Lebron James is, in fact, the king.
