Borrusia Dortmund’s winger Christian Pulisic didn’t take lightly the USMNT’s failure to qualify for World Cup 2018. It supposed to be Pulisic’s first appearance at World Cup, but United States lost the final CONCACAF qualifying game to Trinidad and Tobago and missed out on the tournament for the first time in 32 years.

Now Pulisic is determined to use this as a motivation to “get some revenge” and bring back his country to World Cup in 2022.

I definitely want to get some revenge and be back in the World Cup,” – the 20-year-old told ESPN FC. “We have a lot of hungry going players who are doing really well. I’m really excited to see what this team can do.”

Since the CONCACAF qualifiers wrapped up in November 2017, Christian Pulisic played just one game for the U.S., missing out on two of the last international camps due to injuries. However, he hopes that he will be ready for the next round of friendlies in November when USMNT is scheduled to play Italy and England.

I am hoping to stay healthy, and 100 percent fit and be ready for those games and help the team,” -Pulisic added.

Recent injuries also stopped Christian Pulisic to play a larger role in Borrusia Dortmund in the 2018-19 season. He made nine appearances for the club in this season, scoring on two occasions.
