Hamburg SV has been relegated from the German’s top-flight Bundesliga for the first time in their history and will spend the next season playing in 2. Bundesliga. This didn’t sit well with some of the club’s players, who are trying to find their way out of Hamburg in order to play on the top level. One of them is the United States international forward Bobby Wood, who informed the club that he wants to leave.

[He] informed us that he wants to leave the club and continue to play [in the] Bundesliga,” – said HSV’s coach Christian Titz. “We’ll wait and see what will happen after the talks in the coming days and whether there will be a transfer. If he opts to stay here, then he will be a member of the squad.

Still, there are no indications about the amount of interest Bobby Wood will receive from Bundesliga teams, especially considering his below-average performances in the past season. Wood played in 23 games for HSV and managed to score only three goals.

He does, however, has suitors from other European clubs with Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev reportedly being among most interested sides.

Prior to joining Hamburg SV, Bobby Wood also played for 1860 Munich and Union Berlin. He also made 39 appearances for USMNT and scored 12 goals.

Ben loves sports so much but prefers watching other people do it. He prefers not to share what teams he's supporting but he is willing to admit that Lebron James is, in fact, the king.
