The United States left back Antonee Robinson is showing lately that he has the talent to make it in the Premier League which prompted his club Everton to give him a new three-year contract. It feels great to know that Everton have faith in me with this contract,” – said Robinson after inking the deal. “Even though at the minute they feel I might not be quite ready for the Premier League with the team they have, they do feel I’ve got a future with them. They just want me to get loaned out and get that experience. I think I’ll get really good experience with Wigan. They’re a great footballing team, and it should allow me to grow even more.

According to Robinson, he had a chance to get back to Bolton Wanderers, where he spent the last season on loan, but opted for Wigan in favor of working with team’s manager Paul Cook.

Antonee Robinson became a part of Everton’s academy when he was 11 years old. After becoming a starter for the team’s U23 side, he was snapped by Bolton who signed him on loan in 2017. After impressing during his time with Bolton, Robinson was called up for USMNT, making his international debut in a friendly against Bolivia.
