Tyson Fury will face Deontay Wilder in the US in the first half of 2019, boxing promoter Frank Warren told ESPN on Friday.

“The venue is looking like the U.S., that’s where the money is,” Warren said. “Tyson was disappointed with the judging with the last fight, as I was, so a lot of things need to be sorted but the U.S. is where they want it.”

While a date and venue are yet to be set, the promoter believes Las Vegas will be more of a likely venue for the rematch over the UK or any other location. The bout comes weeks after the controversial draw decision made after the two heavyweights faced off in Los Angeles last month.

“Vegas would be one of the options. I wouldn’t want to go back to California, I didn’t like working with the California Commission and there were a lot of things we didn’t like there.”

Warren also noted that Tyson is already in the gym preparing for the match. After the rematch with Wilder, the UK boxer is also expected to face off with fellow British boxer Anthony Joshua.

“We are not complicated, Tyson is the most uncomplicated person you will meet, and he will fight anyone,” he said.
