Star wideout Tyreek Hill told reporters on Wednesday that he remains committed to the Miami Dolphins despite rumors questioning his future with the franchise.
The Dolphins have been struggling on offense since losing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa due to concussion, and Hill has been feeling the consequences. After leading the league in receiving yards (1,799) and receiving touchdowns (13) in 2023, Hill only has 17 catches for 217 yards and a TD in the first four games of the 2024 campaign.
Hill was particularly ineffective in Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans, when he had just 23 yards receiving on four catches. He was also shown having an outburst on the sidelines during the game.
Lack of production and Miami’s 1-3 start of the season resulted in Hill being the subject of trade rumors, but the player doesn’t seem to be interested in going anywhere.
“I’m just focused on right here and right now. We’ve got a beautiful team here, and I want to be a part of it,” Hill told reporters on Wednesday. “We’ve got a great situation here, my family loves it, I enjoy it, the weather’s great, the fans are great. So, we’ve got a beautiful situation here, man.”
The Dolphins also look committed to Hill. They restructured his contract back in August, and he is now set to earn $90 million in the next three years and receive $65 million in guaranteed money.
Hill joined the Dolphins in 2022 in a blockbuster trade from the Kansas City Chiefs. Since then, he made 255 catches for 3,726 yards, and 21 touchdowns.
