Two groups interested in buying NFL’s Washington Commanders are reportedly willing to meet owner Dan Snyder’s asking price of $6 billion. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, both groups have submitted fully-financed bids.

The first group is helmed by Philadelphia 76ers’ co-owner Josh Harris and billionaire businessman Mitchell Rales. Harris and Rales’ bid is backed by a number of other high-profile investors, including the Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson.

The second group also willing to pay the full $6 billion is one led by Canadian billionaire Steve Apostolopoulos. Reportedly, Apostolopoulos was originally interested in buying NBA’s Charlotte Hornets but has now shifted his focus to trying to get the Commanders.

Snyder announced his intention to sell the Commanders last year, but the process has been slowed down due to his asking price. However, it appears that his patience paid off, as Snyder is all but set to get what he asked for, if not even more.

If Snyder accepts either of the bids, it will mark the record for an NFL team. The current record sale is held by the Denver Broncos, who were purchased for $4.65 billion by Walmart heir Rob Walton last year.

It is important to note that any deal that Snyder makes to sell the Commanders has to be approved by the NFL owners. Three-quarters of the owners need to vote in favor of the sale to push it through.
