Indiana Pacers are about to get a reinforcement, courtesy of their rival for Eastern Conference playoff spots, Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers recently released forward Trevor Booker in order to create a roster spot for newly acquired Ersan Ilyasova, and according to the reports, Booker will now most likely sign with the Pacers once he clears waivers. Although the Indiana Pacers are yet to confirm the deal, Booker is already ready to get to work.

The Philadelphia 76ers acquired Trevor Booker in December 2017 from the Brooklyn Nets, sending Jahlil Okafor, Nik Stauskas and a 2019 second-round pick in the opposite direction. He managed to play 33 games for the 76ers but failed to make an impact, averaging 4.7 points, and 3.7 rebounds, per game. He should, however, might be able to help the Pacers’ on the rebounding end, since they are currently ranked 21st in the league. Indiana Pacers are currently on the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference, being one game behind the Washington Wizards on the fourth.

Trevor Booker entered the league in 2010 when the Washington Wizards selected him with the 23rd pick in the draft. He filled the spot of a role player on the team, being an occasional starter during his four years with the Wizards. After two years with the Utah Jazz, he signed with the Nets in 2016, playing his best basketball in 2016-17 season.
