Sources revealed on Thursday that the Tennessee Titans are set to sign former Chicago Bears pass-rusher Trevis Gipson. The 26-year-old, who was released by the Bears on Tuesday, appeared to exhibit his excitement at the prospect of the trade by posting “Titan up let’s go!!!” on social media platform X.

Gipson enjoyed a breakout season with the Bears in 2021, hitting seven sacks and five forced fumbles that year. The pass-rusher’s performances dipped last season, however, when the Bears shifted from their 3-4 scheme to a 4-3 setu under first-year coach Matt Eberflus, managing just three sacks. A fifth-round selection in the 2020 draft, Gipson made 75 tackles and 10 sacks in 40 career games with the Bears.

The 26-year-old may have a decent chance at getting a starting role in the Titans’ lineup. The team’s 4-3 base defense includes Harold Landry III, Arden Key as their other starting linebacker, and Rashad Weaver expected to play a reserve role.

Ben loves sports so much but prefers watching other people do it. He prefers not to share what teams he's supporting but he is willing to admit that Lebron James is, in fact, the king.
