One of the top soccer players on the planet says that he wants to play in the NFL once his soccer career is over.

Harry Kane, the star striker of the England National Team and of Tottenham Hotspur, said in an interview with ESPN that he envisions himself trying his hand at American football 10 or 12 years down the road.

Kane envisions himself as a kicker in the National Football League, a natural transition for a star soccer player.

Kane mused in the interview, “If you play in the Premier League and the World Cup and then in the NFL, would you be considered one of the greatest sportsmen ever?” It would certainly amount to be a unique career path, as few soccer professional soccer players have ever made the transition to kicking in the NFL.

Despite his dream to eventually play in the NFL, Kane is perfectly content to stick with soccer for now. The 25-year-old striker is one of the top players in the Premier League and England’s unquestioned star. He has scored 24 goals in 36 appearances for Tottenham this year.

Kane was awarded for his service to soccer with a new membership invitation to the Order of the British Empire by the British Royal Family earlier this week.

His present continues to be in soccer, but we shouldn’t be surprised if we see Kane wearing a helmet and pads before his sporting career is over.

I am a reality TV junkie. My dream since I was a kid was to be on Big Brother, but until then you can catch me binge-watching episodes each summer.
