USMNT and Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie said more than once that he would like to play in Premier League. It appears that his wish might come true sooner than expected as the 22-year-old player is reportedly on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar for this transfer window.

According to Italian media outlet Tuttosport, Tottenham is high on the American and would be interested in swapping disgruntled Frenchman Tanguy Ndombele for McKennie in a player-exchange deal. It is worth noting that Fabio Paratici, who serves as the sporting director with the English club, was the one who brought McKennie to Juve.

Tottenham hasn’t been the only team that has an interest in McKennie, with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munchen also tracking the player. But it is believed that Bayern has RB Leipzig’s captain Marcel Sabitzer as their main target and view McKennie as an alternative.

Juventus, on the other hand, is open to offers for the midfielder. Previously deemed untouchable, McKennie has been made available for the right price after Massimiliano Allegri returned to the club. The Seria A side is currently holding out for a transfer fee of around $40 million,

Weston McKennie initially joined Juve on loan from Schalke 04 ahead of the 2020/21 season. McKennie ended up putting together a solid season despite a tough competition in the club’s midfield, managing to score six goals and dish three assists in 46 games in all competitions. This prompted Italians to exercise their purchase option and make the move permanent for a reported transfer fee of $22.33 million.
