Tottenham Hotspur are looking towards Seria A once again as part of the efforts to strengthen their squad. This time, the Premier League club is reportedly targeting Inter Milan’s winger Ivan Perisic, who is set to become a free agent in the summer.
Inter made several attempts to lock Perisic to an extension in the past weeks, but the Croat doesn’t seem moved by their offers. Multiple reports say that he is already plotting a future away from Milan and isn’t lacking suitors thanks to a strong season that saw him score seven goals and dish seven assists in the domestic league.
Sources close to the situation say that Perisic’s preferred destination would be Juventus, which has already contacted his representatives. However, this might change if Tottenham makes a run at him as the 33-year-old player would love to reunite with Antonio Conte. The duo worked together last season at Inter and won the Seria A title together.
If Perisic ends up landing with the Spurs, he would be the third signing from Italy during Conte’s brief time in London. The club brought in Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from Juve in January, and the duo proved crucial for the club’s run at a Top 4 finish in Premier League.
