British football enters the last hours of the summer transfer window before the start of the Premier League and big names are starting to pop up. After Tottenham’s negotiations with the La Liga club Barcelona over the midfielder Philippe Coutinho collapsed, the club decided to bring another player in their ranks, this time coming from another Spanish club.
The Hotspurs have reached an agreement with the club Real Betis and entered the final phase of signing their midfielder Giovani lo Celso whose future was heavily rumored in the final days of July. British sports media are reporting that this transfer could come with a fee of around $72 million and when it goes through, the player will be inking a 5-year contract.
The Argentinian Lo Celso is only 23-years-old but he has had a brilliant career so far, showing great skill and determination since the first day he stepped onto the field as a professional footballer. His senior career started in 2015 in his home country of Argentina, where he played for the club Rosarion Central. Real Betis acquired Lo Celso just a few months ago, with the signing of a permanent deal after he spent a season on loan with them.
